Q: Does this also make your carpet softer?

I was totally underwhelmed with this product it would not pick hair up off the carpet which was the reason I purchased it. It does really well sweeping hard wood floors though

Q: Is there another way to get dog hair out of bristles. Running under water doesnt help.

Try a a little moisturizing soap or cheap lotion with water. Possible microfiber cloth in conjunction? I use hand soap and water. Work it in well, then usually spray out in kitchen sink. Sometimes takes a couple passes. Got a German shep/husky mix and she has like 5 textures of fur. Downy fuzz sticks the worst.

Q: Can i use the rubber broom on my plush bed spread?

I do not know, but I would think so.
