Awesome Apocalypse store
I love the books and the characters. I could visualize someone doing this to society. I am very pleased with the ending of the story. Great writer! This story is full of worry, suspense, tragedy, friendships formed, betrayals, evil people and much more.

Zombies out the wazoo
This is a grizzly romp through the aftermath of a manmade contamination of water and food supplies. Taken at face value, the story line is good, I love that there are follow ups on all the main characters. I think what is lacking is the hows. How did the baddies get the contaminant into the water and the food? How did one guy mastermind this with no one having a clue? What was the contaminant in the first place and how did it get manufactured? I read in the afterward there were or are some stand alones. Hope one is a preface to the whole saga.Well written and thought out (although I think the aunt's rifle was magic and had an extra bullet).

Great series-well written and enjoyable!
The author did a fantastic job developing characters both good and bad. The variety of points of view were astounding. There were characters that were fully developed with very small roles in the books. The story line stayed consistent throughout the entire series which is saying a lot. Many series books, probably due to the authors ever expanding imagination, tend to evolve so far from the original story line as to be unrecognizable. The social implications of what an apocalypse can do to a person seem right on point. There will always be some people that will try to do the right thing no matter what. There will always be some people who will evolve to be evil or let their true nature fly when there is no law to keep them in check. And there will always be some people who will do bad things to survive but still feel bad about what they did. This book series was riveting and written well. I would highly recommend to people who enjoy apocalyptic fiction.

Very good
I’ve never been one to read about zombies but this had just the right twist to make it believable. I felt like I was sitting on the edge of my seat throughout the whole series. Unlike the main characters I think I would have probably swallowed a bullet instead of going through what these people went through. It seems as if they never got a break from the running and killing. And then there were the uninfected that were killing and causing chaos just for fun. I especially liked when they got taken down. Editing was very good and throughout 7 books I think I only saw one error. That’s something that I appreciate beyond belief. I can’t stand a book where you have to reread several sentences just to figure out the text. Thank you for the hours and hours of entertainment. Loved it.

Well written
This series is quite good. The characters are believable and the situations frightening. It makes one want to set up a preppers cave.

Why is there LOUD unnecessary dramatic music starting in book 4
Good story. Good narrator. AWFUL and LOUD dramatic music. Nothing to do with the author or the books. How is dramatic music prose written? Removed 2 stars because of the awful audio. The author did an excellent job of portraying today’s youth and their control over adults. In this scenario, if it were real, kids better grow up and accept they are no longer entitled and cute. Daddy daddy look. I learned how to play poker. Then the kid is disappointed because her father is too busy protecting the group to play with her.

Five stars for this genre
... four stars because, at least for me, five stars are reserved for great literature. I enjoyed this series and for those who gave poor reviews or were disappointed, I'm not sure what they're looking for. When reading this type of "end of the world" story, the one thing to look for is that it keeps you on the edge of your seat and you're able to read it and also see it in your mind's eye as though you're watching a movie. That makes for a good read to me, when I can "see" it in my mind. To keep up with so many different characters, is a nice break from real life, in my book.If we pretend that this is a real story, believing in the characters for example, little pearls of wisdom come forth, as in "every day seemed like a gift in a world that didn't have many favors left to give" and "the simple comfort of a mattress felt like heaven"; these are things a person can identify with, if one has suffered at any time in their life. It's those types of comments that brings the reader to a slow halt, to digest a story that is entirely for the purpose of vacationing from real life but also a reminder of what's most important. The little things.I thoroughly enjoyed this series, especially that it was all in one reading as a boxed set and not individual, wait til the next book comes out kind of read. And then, even when you thought it was over, there was yet another point of view from a character in the beginning that one might have forgotten that neatly wrapped up the experience of each individual mentioned.

A Real Page Turner
Excellent post apocalyptic tale of survival. Nonstop action and good story telling keeps you glued and guessing what happens next. A real page turner

Amazing Read
Don't be scared by the size of this series. The entire thing is truly awesome. It is the definitive example of "can't put it down", as the action starts on page one and never lets up. I did not realize how much I cared about the characters until the conclusions of the two major storylines; for both, my eyes teared up. But if you crave books with lots of action and twists and turns, don't miss this amazing series.

Brilliant!
Great series. Great characters and a grand setting, just enough detail to get the pictures of the story without the usual writer waffle! Loved this!

Nice read
Nach dem ich schon einige Bücher von diesem Autor gelesen habe, habe ich diese Set gekauft. Es ist ein wenig langatmig an manchen Stellen, aber ansonsten sehr schönes Set für das Geld.

contamination as opposed to zombie
I like the idea of a contamination rather than the zombie type disease because it gives hope to the characters to fight on. Zombies, on the other hand , will continue to infect and gives little hope of a happy type ending. The fight these characters had was with hope, and it made their journey more purposeful.Good storyline with just a few “why didn’t they just do that, instead of what they did” moments.Overall a good read

GREAT ACT STORY OF SURVIVAL, CHAOS, AND HUMANITY RUN AMOK.
The story is well written, definitely develops the main character early on and keeps on going until you know the character as if they were your friends. PIPERBROOK loves his craft and it shows! I enjoy reading his works because I’m ensured of a damn good read with action, suspense, and realism. His work is alwayswell edited and all are real ‘page turners’. How many times I have read his work well into the wee hours simply because missed sleep was well worth the sacrifice of missed sleep and worth the risk of being late for work!!! Keep writing PIPERBROOK, KEEP WRITING, PLEASE !!!!!
