God is Good

I have never written any review on Amazon before; however, I am happy to write this one. I prayed to God at the beginning of 2022 and wrote down my new year resolution: I want to learn how to communicate with God and find out what God wants me to do during this year. A few days later, the author of this book reached out to me over social media and told me to read this book. I didn't know the author; however, I ordered the book right away. I found myself enjoyed reading this book slowly over the next two weeks. I was amazed by all the real life stories shared by the author in this book. It answered my questions in profound ways -- many level of communications with God. It gets me ready to be baptized upon finishing reading this book. I can't wait to start my next level of communications with God!! Thank you very much to the author, Mrs. Margaret Liu Collins!!!

"God is Good" is a very touching, inspiring, and powerful book of belief. Margaret Liu Collins tells her personal stories of her long journey guided by God throughout her life. As a Chinese American, she describes in detail how God helps her with her family, her marriage and her children, and how God assists her in making hard decisions in her non-native country. The book is in three parts. Part One tells about how God offers her freedom from her unfortunate relationships; Part Two details how to recognize God’s will and God’s voice; and Part Three demonstrates the power of the Holy Spirit. Step by step, God leads her to get rid of darkness, to strengthen her self-confidence, and to overcome the obstacles. Through her personal experiences, she firmly believes that God is always there for her, and ready to give her advice. The book is a powerful witness of her walk along with God who becomes her constant companion. In addition, there is a special feature throughout the book. The comic strips accompany each chapter, which makes the reading more enjoyable.

'God is Good' is an emotional, heartbreaking, and inspiring memoir about a girl who had to face a lot at such a small age. The way she fought everything and defeated all her sorrows is amazing. She just put all her faith in God and believes that it was only possible because of it. There are often such events in life when people trick you with fakeness and then show you their real face, Margaret had to face similar circumstances.I would recommend this book to all those people who are seeking God's guidance in their lives. This is an inspiring story for all those who believe God has forgotten them and is currently going through a rough patch. It surely will lighten you and your life.

God is Good by Margaret Liu Collins (Author), Michael D. Waters (Illustrator) is a heartfelt book that reflects the author's relationship with God. This book is a memoir that chronicles the author's early life and through a difficult marriage. It was God's promise that helped the author maintain her spirit during the trials in her life and believe that God is indeed good. Definitely a powerful book and one that might bring you back to your faith. Of note are the illustrations within the book that while quite good, seemed to be at odds with the seriousness of the message, and incongruent with the beautiful cover art. Overall an inspirational book.

Loved the book, loved the stories, loved Margaret's straightforward approach to stretching us through the truth of God. I was especially inspired by Margaret walking us through how to clearly and consistently hear the voice of God. Great stuff!Best line in the book that made me laugh out loud, "God's Word is my melatonin and ambien!" You'll have to read the book to see what Margaret means by it.David & Sandy Fasold

This is an inspirational memoir that truly left me wondering about the world we live in. The author’s story is really heartbreaking, and I admire her that she came out of all the incredibly tough things. Of course, she attributes her strength to God and her faith. It’s a book that allows the reader to see the importance of faith in the specific example of this author’s life; this isn’t a make-believe story or some anecdotes that should show you how God is great and almighty. The life of this author is enough of proof itself, and this book represents it beautifully.

It’s such a gift! When I received this book from Amazon, I was not sure that I’ll understand much of the religious contents. However, reading through the chapters is just like welcomed into the author's life to experience what she has encountered, to understand what she has learned, and to be happy as she has set an example.Among many wisdoms provided in the book, one point inspired me the most: you will need to forgive, so that you can give. Love is giving, but sometimes it’s hard, because giving requires forgiving. The author tells us that forgiving is not forgetting, so you don’t have to forget, but you can forgive. Aha, that's how you can even love your enemies. The understanding made my day. It’s such a gift!

This book is no different and I found it very inspirational and touching. This was a well-written book and I highly recommend this book. By far, one of the best Christian books I've ever read.
