Fun Crime Caper!
I should probably start here with my bias – I’m a huge Davis Way fan. Each book in this series never fails to make me laugh out loud. Davis is the kind of character that you root for – she doesn’t always make the best choices, but she works with what she has and she does everything in her power to protect those she loves along the way.To sum up this latest - Davis is in trouble. A lot of trouble. Missing five million dollars kind of trouble. Since our last caper she’s been demoted, the Bellissimo security team is split, and to find this money, Davis needs her mother to come babysit the twins. Who in turn brings Bea (the ex-ex-mother-in-law). (Who isn’t supposed to be there.) And tomatoes. So many tomatoes. And I didn’t even get around to mentioning the Elvis convention. People dressed up like the King are roaming not just the casino, but all around town. It’s easy for someone with five million stolen dollars to get lost in all the Elvises. (Sorry, Davis, I tried typing Elvii but – I’m with Fantasy here.)In other words, Davis has a lot going on.This latest Davis Way Crime Caper is full of fun – from the mystery of the missing money to why Davis has been demoted and no longer speaking to Bianca Sanders. Will things ever be the same at the Bellissimo again? You’ll just have to read the book to find out.

#9 in series
After losing most of her job after the hurricane, Davis is bored with her lack of duties. Bradley is on his way out of town so Davis is in charge of the Bellissimo. An Elvis convention, 5 million in cash missing, and a missing employee has Davis and Fantasy up to their eyeballs in keeping things running smoothly while trying to find the lost cash. Unfortunately, Davis's mom & ex-ex mother in law show up in the mix. Between elvii, no Bianca, family, and several mishaps, Davis and Fantasy have to enlist Baylor to help track and find the cash. The game is afoot and with more dead bodies, a destroyed suite, and nefarious characters dodging their every move, the three of them need to solve the mystery to survive and keep their jobs. Hilarity ensues

Five Stars and All Shook Up
Yes, yes, yes!Let’s get cooking:Take Elvis and more Elvis (Elvii?), mix with one unforgettable and missing Birdy, toss in a character who shouldn’t even be there(!), then add Davis Way and Fantasy and No Hair and crew, and don’t forget the secret ingredient: Some alarming stuff that should NOT be happening.Put it all in a bag, shake it all up, and the delicious result equals a recipe for pure hilarity at the fabulous Bellissimo Hotel and Casino in steamy Louisiana.Serve with coffee, tea, mimosa, or mint julep for best results. (Or a peanut and banana sandwich, because did I mention the Elvises/Elvii?)Tightly written and filled with both heartwarming moments and hijinks, this may be best one in the series yet. An absolute delight, filled with memorable characters and moments to make you laugh and cry and escape into pure enjoyment. Davis Way and her family alway do this for me. She is my go-to gal. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bea Crawford was never supposed to be there.
In some parts I literally was guffawing, appropriate word. It was the perfect accompaniment to spending over three hours on hold with Social Security Administration. Some parts were mean. The incredibly mean spirited description of an overweight woman was over the top. I’m not a fan of the abrupt ending, it seems flat after such a highly carbonated story. Many more good things than the not so good variety. I snickered, giggled, laughed and guffawed my way thru this book. It is not my favorite, I don’t think that I could pick a favorite. I do feel as if the stories are getting shorter and longer between releases. All in all it was worth my time and my cash. Happy reading.

Disappointed
I have read all of the series up to 9. I have enjoyed them all. I pay for Kindle Unlimited and after finishing Double Trouble I have been waiting for the next one to be added to Kindle Unlimited. I thought maybe after it was out for a while it would be added. Now I have noticed that I was lucky to get the last 3 on Unlimited.

Great book with lots of humor
Davis' first mistake was not firing Birdy James, who is old as the hills, when her boss suggested she let her go. Birdy is in charge of Lost and Found at the Bellisimo Casino where Davis works in security. No one can find anything in Lost and found because Birdy uses the Dewey Decimal System and shorthand - her shorthand. The Bellisimo has lost 5 million dollars - it is in lost and found.Things go down hill from there.Enter Davis' Mother and her ex Mother-in-law.Davis is in trouble - Double Trouble. This is a fast paced, slap stick, funny book. This is the 9th book in the Davis Way Crime Series. I say this every time; this is the funniest and best one yet. I laughed so much reading this book, and boy do we need to laugh at this time in our life.I highly recommend this series.

The Relief Needed to Lighten the load of 2020 Double Trouble.
Five Stars. You know there is a great book waiting to be read when you wait for the upload and read it as soon as you can open the book.Apparently Davis Way should have fired Birdy the keeper of lost and found when her boss “NO HAIR” told her to. How could lost and found lose $5 million dollars not once but twice. Not to mention a wedding cake that travel to the vault.Mother shows up with tomatoes. Mother brings the ex ex mother in law Bee, who buys black cow fertilizer and brings to the penthouse. How could anything go wrong. The book was, Is exactly the witty slap your .Mama laugh till you cry book. Great read, great fun. I wish I could Read it again! Oh I can I will.

If you read it once and missed it don't worry it will be repeated over and over and over again.
I don't know what this was but 80 percent of this book was excruciating to read. It was like reading something written by a different author. I actually skipped many paragraphs because it was too repetitive. I was very disappointed in this book. I really hope this was a one-off. The series as a whole has been very enjoyable.
