A supremely entertaining read that leaves you wanting more. ASAP.
Dear reader,I struggle to come up with new ways to say that I would read a Shelly Ellis book if it was an interpretation of the phone book.I'm just playing. I am a mood reader, though and I'm always in the mood for a juicy, drama filled Ellis novel. She has a distinctive style that I love, where one plot point piles on another until you're not sure how the characters are going to untwist the knots. Sometimes I can guess but I delight in being wrong. The Three Mrs. Greys is the story of one man and three women. Some of my fave Lifetime movie plots are the ones where one character is leading a double life and I always secretly wonder where they get all that energy (and money!!) from because DANG. Cyrus had three whole wives and none of them knew about each otherโuntil Cyrus is shot and they each show up at the hospital to care for her husband and find out that they're not the only Mrs. Grey.So what do you do when you find out your husband has not only been cheating, but he has two other wives? Like, not just girlfriends, side pieces, chicks he's messing with but WIVES??? I mean, I can say what *I* would do and it might involve shooting him if he wasn't already shot.I see that a few reviewers have said they knew who shot Cyrus but *shrug* despite reading a lot of mysteries and domestic thrillers, I didn't guess... mostly because at least one of his wives (or her... associate (s) had reason to get rid of him and there were a few clues to point us elsewhere-- Bilal? Julius?)If there's a super dramatic option, I'm going to go for that one.Already looking for book two, because I need to see how this three wives situation pans out. I'm guessing... not well. And I'm READY FOR IT.The Three Mrs. Greys is well paced, well written, full of patented Shelly Ellis domestic drama and a supremely entertaining read that leaves you wanting more. ASAP.

Interesting
This was an interesting novel with great characters. Three women with very different lives find out they are all married to the same man after he is shot and put into a medically induced coma. This is an interesting premise. The story is told from multiple points of view. It`s well written. Unfortunately, it`s the beginning of a series and ends on a cliffhanger. This is not the kind of novel I want to read as a series. I consider it a good one and done book. It would have been five stars, except for ending and discovering that I would have to buy another book to find out the resolution. As good as the book was, I don`t know if I`m that invested in these characters.

Very well written love and hip hop drama.
I have to admit. I'm still letting this story sink in. But the author overall did a great job at writing this story and capturing the personalities of all the characters. I found myself really disliking Vanessa in the long run. But all of the ladies are dealing with personal issues that have landed themselves with Cy or still with Cy. I love love and hip hop , while reading I felt like this book compares to that show in writing. I'm curious to see what happens to the characters. I'm not 100% invested into the drama as I am more interested in finding out If the women get a happy ending.

Good read!
Overall, the book was a nice quick read for me. Certain characters seemed predictable. I do feel like the way the book rushed to do this pre-liminary ending, before the sequel, was unnecessary. There should have been a way to continue the story with a different cliff hanger. But all in all, it grasped my attention enough to read follow-up book.

Plot Had Potential
As I got closer to the ending, I could not imagine how this author could possibly "wrap things up". It basically had NO ending. I read now that it will be a series, but such an abrupt "end" is unacceptable even if sequel will follow. If I had read on a physical book instead of Kindle, I would have thought someone tore the last few chapters out! One reviewer mentioned the sex scenes being near-porn and unnessesary. I think they were included possibly to boost sales. I would encourage this author to pay more attention to creating a satisfying overall read. No cheap shots and write an ending that leaves us looking forward to the next one.

Debut
There's a lot going so this is less of mystery and more drama. The ending was kinda anticlimactic bc we find who the shooter is and really just waiting for a confirmation. All the wives are insufferable and I'm not sure if that was intended for us feel bad for Cyrus. I mean I didn't. He was a liar, scammer, cheat, and I could make the agreement preyed on women with low self esteem. Needless to say the wives were stereotypical trophy first wife, mentally unstable second wife, and young wife from the streets. I wonder if it this dynamic was fleshed out more or done differently the book would have felt less stingy. Idk but I guess book 2 we will find out.CW/N: shooting, cheating, verbal/domestic abuse, financial manipulation, police coercion, gang violence, money laundering, attempted murder, lots of sexism

An enjoyable read
A really good read, the author has captured the different personalities of the women well. There are lots of questions and I will certainly be reading the next one. I found the ending a little abrupt, the cliffhanger was a bit unsatisfying and I did think more questions could have been answered before the end of the book but that's personal preference. Definitely recommend.
