Totally worth the price
This came out beautifully and is 100% worth the time in my opinion. It was a gift for my mother, but now that I've completed hers I'm pretty sure I'm going to reorder and complete one for me just because it's such a beautiful image! Some things to note:-You will have to iron the duck canvas it comes on. To save you the googling, flip it pattern side down, lay a slightly damp towel on top and iron it on cotton/steam. It takes some patience but works. Do NOT iron the side with the printed numbers on it. If you're going to stretch the canvas on wood, do that prior to painting, obviously.-You are provided plenty of paint, but I used some of my own to integrate different colors on the butterflies instead of the originals. The original colors are slightly muted.-This is not grey scale. The hair, face, and shoulders are shades of purple-ish grey. I did not mind that but if you're looking for actual shades of black, grey and white, be forewarned-This fits in an 18x22 frame with a mat-The paintbrushes provided with the kit work perfectly if you dont already have your own. It also comes with mounting hardware, despite having no frame.-I dedicated an estimated 8-10 hours to this, but I took my time on it, spread it out on Friday and Saturday evenings, and also drank wine while doing it to feel extra fancy so you may be able to complete it quicker if you're sober ;)

Fun project
I have never done a project like this before, and I was very happy with it. I would suggest using a canvas primer. From what I read I think it would give you better end results and make it easier. I don't know if this was a good canvas or not- it seemed strong and durable. I did iron it as suggested on u-tube video's. They give you more then enough paint. Most colors were perfect and did need a tiny bit of water for better control. The only negative was the few bright colors were very thin so you need to add multiple coats to cover the numbers. When I finished I then blended some colors together to add more depth in area's. This was a fun project for the covid quarantine and the price was right and worth it.

My New Favorite
It was so fun to do. The paints were easy to work with and the numbers easy to follow. This is not your mom’s paint by number set!
