nuLOOM Hesse Checker Weave Seagrass Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug, 9x12, Natural

Had a sea grass rug for five years (picture 2). It got extremely hard use and wore like iron until the last few months, when it started to show significant wear. The online retailer I bought it from no longer has it, so I went with this one which looked very similar in pictures and description. It arrived today (picture one). The quality difference is night and day. It looks like a cheap knockoff of my old rug. The weave is coarse, loose, and uneven. There are loose ends sticking out all over the place, and the cotton binding on the edge is a mess. The fist picture is the new rug, second is the old one. No comparison. I can’t imagine this new one lasting a year, considering it already looks like crap. And it cost a hundred dollars more than the old one. So disappointing. Back it goes and the search continues for a decent rug.
