In France, the name 'chestnut pumpkin' was created. The shape is onion shaped. The fruits grow numerous on the plant and reach a weight of 1.2 to 1.5 kg. This pumpkin is valuable for health, thanks to its particularly high content of carotenoids (provitamin A), which is far above that of the best carrot varieties. This also indicates the deep orange pulp. Carotene strengthens seaability and contributes considerably to good general being. 'Uchiki Kuri' matures early and brings high yield. It can be enjoyed fresh, raw or steamed in salads, cakes and bread. You can store this pumpkin in a cool and dry place and only use it in winter. The durability is excellent.
