Gives me security and peace of mind.
Took a minute to figure out how to angle in the top piece correctly, but other than that, easy to install. I like the security of being able to keep my work access badge locked away when I get home from work. Cover seems to be made well. I would like to see a thinner coin tray made available as an accessory to ride on top the cover so I can have quick access to a few things without having to unlock the console. That said, love the product.

This thing is rad. It isn't hard to install. It feels like a vault. I don't like the lock .. I don't like it because I need to turn the light on to see it. Oh well I have absolute piece of mind when I have to dump my Hillary into there because concealed carry blah blah. 2019 f150

This is a fantastic addition to my truck!
I wanted a safe for my truck to keep my wallet safe when I go for a run. This keeps it nice and safe while I'm away from my truck. The installation instructions were fantastic. I am extremely satisfied.

the powder coating is so piss poor, it was coming off all over the metal ...
I've owned a console vault for a Tacoma for about 10 years, so when I replaced my truck for a Ford, I wanted the same security.Not only is this not a "vault", it's merely a lid. But on top of that, the powder coating is so piss poor, it was coming off all over the metal as soon as I took it out of the box. I am returning this and buying another brand.

It should come with the truck!
This is a Ford-authorized product and fits perfectly. It is snug, but that's a good thing.One clarification: the piece that is to be removed to fit the safe is to be reinstalled, so don't damage it. It is tight but does come off. It has four snap connectors. The instructions show a B&W photo that almost looks like you remove the lid: you don't.It is the plastic trim that fits vertically against the back, just UNDER the lid. (See my photo)
