Excellent Quality and Functionality
I read the reviews on Amazon and purchased two of these for our car. These triangles are well constructed and are of a high quality. I took two of the other reviewers' recommendations to familiarize myself with them. Glad I did. It will avoid any unnecessary fumbling in the event of an emergency situation. They are easy to open and turn to set in their bases; and easy to close and store. The triangles are a relatively thick plastic with reflectors on both sides and lock firmly in place when opened. The bases seem to be heavy enough to sustain the triangles under normal highway traffic and wind. Other reviewers stated that some countries require at least one emergency warning triangle to be carried in a vehicle. That is an excellent requirement. Some automakers include one in their roadside emergency kits supplied with their vehicles. I am happy with my purchase and recommend this particular product to all. Lastly, I now they are a bit pricey, but you cannot put a price on the safety of yourself and others.

Overkill for most - heavier and larger than I anticipated
This is a lot heavier and larger than I thought it would be. It weighs 3.16 lbs and seems a bit large to carry around in a passenger car all the time. The base on this actually feels like a weight in that it is load with sand.If you would like, you could just carry a couple of $2.00 flares instead, which would weight a lot less and be less bulky to store in your vehicle as well. This product is overkill for most when a couple of flares are much easier to carry and store in your car, not to mention a lot cheaper. If I drove for work every day or took long trips a lot, I would find this item a bit more useful/practical.It's a great heavy duty item, just seems like overkill for most when flares will do just fine.

Heavy and sturdy but still compact when folded
This is a great warning triangle for a passenger vehicle. The base is a heavy PVC style tube filled with some sort of sand. When unfolded, the base is perpendicular to the triangle and the triangle has some "feet" at the corners that stabilize the setup from falling over sideways. I took off a star for these little plastic feet they don't necessarily look cheap or flimsy but if one broke off, as little plastic pieces are prone to do, the stability would be compromised to some degree. The reflector is bright and large enough to be seen. I'm happy having this in my car.

Happy with purchase
I bought this to carry in the car. It arrived in good shape. Looks good and substantial. The triangle is bright orange for daytime visibility and has imbeded reflectors all the way around and on both sides so it is visible at night. The base is nice and heavy and should prevent it from blowing over on the highway but I have not actually tested this. The triangle is made of heavy-duty plastic that should hold up for most purposes. The triangle unfolds and the sides snap together at the top. It took a slight amount to figure this out so you might want to become familiar with setup before having to use this in an emergency at night. The snap mechanism is plastic (like the rest of the triangle) and if given very heavy use might weaken(I am guessing). It does not come in a storage bag. Everything considered I am very satisfied with this purchase.

broke upon trial
This has potential, but I broke it the first time I set it up (for practice). It breaks easily... First of all, the instructions are very poor. There are about 3 sentences and no diagrams. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what the directions meant and was pulling here and there. I finally figured it out, but when I tried to disassemble it, the dumb thing broke. It snaps together with a very tiny piece of plastic. To unsnap it you need to pull very hard. I had a bad feeling when I started to tug, but there was no other way. I don't think it would be a good idea to leave it assembled in the trunk.

Great idea, poor execution
Having an emergency warning triangle that is heavy enough to deal with wind caused by traffic and nature is a great idea. It is slightly confusing to put together which is disappointing and the plastic is breakable when you are assembling and disassembling it. It is a great idea, poorly executed. If you buy it you should carefully practice putting it together and taking it apart at home since with the stress of an accident you may have problems.

very solid and sturdy
This product is very heavy, it means that if you leave it on highway it may stand still even in strong wind or the air flow caused by high-speed vehicle. I bought it solely because of this reason. Don't trust the thin garbage you can get from some road emergency kits as they will fly away like a kite on highway, which is surely some scenario you won't wanna see. I wish I will never use it on road, but if I had to, it should be something which must not fail me, like this one.Several tips:1. Very simple to use, BUT, before you put it in your trunk, try at least one time how to use it because if your car were immobilized and probably you lost your electronic power, and you may spend several minutes on dark road trying to investigate how to deploy it, which is really dangerous.2. Always walk out your vehicle on highway with a reflective vest on. If you are leaning down in the trunk searching for this stuff and a rear car unfortunately doesn't see you before it is too late, it is over. It is even better if you can walk on highway with a bright emergency flare in hand. I am not kidding.3. Twist the base of the triangle a little bit then place it on road will significantly help it to stand still in wind.Again, don't waste money on those paper garbage, if you are searching for an emergency triangle, your searching is over.
