An astounding start
I’m not a super nut on spelling errors cause my brain glosses over them and I wanna boy saw 1 and it was using “he” instead of “she”. Otherwise this book was great. Had good flow well fleshed out characters for a beginning book meant as a series. This story really pulled me in. I was even feeling a bit of hate towards some groups in this book it’s so well written. I will absolutely be getting the next in this series.

Fun
So this book was a lot of fun, the plot was pretty simple and the action was decent. I'm looking forward to see how the MC progresses. The characters were well realized and the MC was believable. My biggest issue was that the girls would get together and talk which seemed like a great opportunity to flesh out the characters more but... It all happened off screen. Some more complexity to the world wouldn't hurt but otherwise a very solid light read

A very pleasant surprise.
Everyone loves a self sacrificing hero, similar to John McClain or Harry Dresdon.I enjoyed this book on multiple levels. The world building, magic system, and characters were all great. Read in three sitting, and genuinely anticipated sitting back down to get back into the story. The story ends well, with more to come. Since I enjoyed it so much, my only wish is that the relationships were a little slower in ramping up. With a story like this I felt it could have taken its time little more, even though the Need is a very big story point.Got it on kindle unlimited and will be buying it as I move on to the next in the series.

Excellent first book
The worldbuilding has some clever twists, dialogue and characters are solid, overall a great first book for any author really. Very few typos. The only thing I noticed was the characters' descriptions seemed to change from the beginning to later on in the book, which was a little confusing.

Excellent story and adventure not just a pretty face
If you like a solid story and not just fluff get this book. The main character and the other characters personality-wise are well-developed. The things that were happening in the story flow well and not just happening just because. For me things happening made sense and drew me in to where I saw it happening in my mind's eye. The romance was a nice little bit of spice and not overwhelming to the storyline.I love good stories such as this is and hope to read the next one in the series soon.

above average
BN miles as created a well thought out world where his characters can thrive. while not leading the pack, this series gives the reader an interesting story and some characters with decent depth to them. the plot armor of the MC isnt as obvious as in other harem type series. this novel is definitely above average for this genre and worth the money if you enjoy books of this nature.

Excellent book!!!
Excellent read!! Bought this book on a whim after seeing the link in a Facebook group. I was not disappointed. Really likable characters and the MC is good guy who isn’t above using whatever influence he needs to get his way with his bosses. I look forward to following this authors work going forward. I highly recommend this book if you like action with a harem element this book is for you..

Low grade "harem" tale with the usual flaws
I've read too many harem tales with an MC who becomes the obsessive sex interest of several bodacious females who may or may not actually be human. There have been a few that actually impressed me, but the majority end up just disappointing in some way. This one was definitely one of the more disappointing. First, the world has a strange form of magic that is addictive and turns users into drug addicts or sex addicts or both eventually. This was an interesting way to make the MC be a complete wimp at first as he refused to use magic after "reforming" and stopping his addictions. But at the same time he had been strong enough in will to break his addiction, he remained a wimp unable or unwilling to stand up for himself in any meaningful way. He got walked on way too much. And of course the "love" the women feel doesn't make any sense because the "hero" is just unlikeable. Just like the world was unlikable, and the mystery was kind of "meh".and that's my verdict here. This story is "meh". Its not good, its not bad, its not memorable. it just exists within the genre, neither standing out as a good tale, nor really deserving bashing for being bad.Read if you wish, but I cannot really recommend it.

Fantastic start - I need more!
I'm not one to leave ratings. It's a failing I intend to remedy, and I'll start here.I love the basic premise - the world building is rich and textured and the characters are nuanced and well rounded. The relationship(s) build naturally and don't overpower the arc of the story. I want more.I read it on Kindle Unlimited, but this is a keeper so I'll be putting my money where my mouth is as soon as I've finished this review. If you are into urban fantasy with a touch of spice, this is a must read.

Excellent world, great start.
I was really impressed with this read. The main character is his own person with a challenging background, the girls are different and unique and the world and premise are just different enough to make it unique. Best of all the sex doesn't override the actual story. Whilst I get the whole harem thing I sometimes feel there is too much emphasis on the guy getting it on. This book does it differently enough to make it something soecial. Looking forward to book 2.

Interesting
Very good read, interesting points of view.let down by a couple of glaring continuities that should have been noticed in the proof read
