When you first get it, it’s nearly impossible to get the top off, but stick it in the freezer for an hour, and bang it on the counter a few times and it will open! Once you get it open, just twist the top around a good amount of times so that the friction kind of wears it a bit. It might get a bit scratched up after some uses, but hey, it was only $12! I’m happy with it

It’s pretty but the lid is seriously difficult to take off. My husband is able to tap it on the counter and that helps loosen it.I’ll keep it and use it for now but never get it again or recommend it to anyone without tons of warning!

The item itself is fine but the shipper sent the item in dusty and dirty packaging. It’s for a present and I can’t give it looking like that it’s gross. Thanks.

Nicely made and just the right size.

It very pretty. Don't return it - if you can not remove cap or open shaker. All you have to do is put shaker over night in the freezer. Then you can remove the top & cap. Then remove the tissue paper that us holding the two lids on. They need to install directions about opening the shaker.

Cosmetically the item came with scratches and overall lack of shine. I could possibly get over this, however, there was copper on the inside lining, which is advertised as stainless steel. I assume the copper is sprayed onto the outside. It was done in such a sloppy way that it appears on the inside edges of the lining. Copper is unsafe to be drinking out of, especially when mixing acidic drinks. Based on the comments it is clear quality control is poor and therefore I will not bother to get a replacement.

I like the shaker, but it came completely scratched despite the box being in good condition. I know that since it’s copper it will eventually patina so I decided to keep it, but I would have been really upset if I’d bought it to give as a gift.

This shaker came with all manner of scratches in the copper plating and scuffs along the top of the shake (and not just a one off, I bought one for a friend too and theirs had the same scratches). Also, the lid of both the shaker and the strainer were nearly impossible to easily remove. Just an overall poorly made product and I'm pretty disappointed in what should have been n easy thing not to mess up.

Bought as a gift so recipient did not get for a couple of months. Will not open, neither main lid nor measuring cup budge from main vessel. Various methods of shifting have been tried; hot water, freezing overnight etc. None have worked.Can only be used as a decorative piece which was not intended. Not best pleased

Poorly tinned copper - very visible. Pieces aren't formed well, so they are hard to separate. Garbage.

This shaker was very beautiful when it came, unfortunately it was pretty tarnished and dinged up, I asked for a replacement hoping it was just a fluke, however the second one came just as bad.Had no issues removing the lid, just had to put some muscle into it.

Warning: Do not close the top too tight! The top of shaker got stuck on so bad that two strong men needed vice grips to open it up.
