Really enjoyed this book. The author is fascinating the way she presents serious information in a humorous way.

I can't get enough of this authors books.I love the humor!And the way she tells a modern retelling that is a parallel of a Bible story let's you get a full grasp of each one.I'm sad I don't have many more of her books left to read.

When we do these bible study reads we get together read about a chapter a day and use our own time to reflect. These two books by Liz Curtis Higgs (Bad Girls of The Bible and What We Can Learn From Them and Really Bad Girls of The Bible More Lessons from Less Than Perfect Women) show you the power and strength of and woman and the power and strength of a woman after faith intervened in her life. Oh how powerful women are. The author takes a biblical story ties it into a modern day story and a section to walk through all the steps of learning just how much of a valuable lesson we can take away from each woman separately. I loved the style in which this book was written. Sometimes while reading the bible you can almost displace yourself because it was so long ago, but with this book and putting a modern spin on a story makes you think wow! Even the problems of biblical times only disguise themselves in today's world.

We love this book. The fictional characters are relatable and helps you understand the biblical story. The lessons learned and discussion questions are thought provoking. We are considering doing the entire series.

I joined a group whose focus was to discuss this book. I thought" Alright, finally some biblical figures I can relate to." Apparently my excitement was disturbing as the focus is why we should not be like these women. I have since ordered the entire series and feel these are written so we realize how much we can relate. They also show how to overcome the struggles they encountered. Very well written. I recommend every single book in this series as well as the stand alones.

This is a very good book for Bible study. I personally prefer her other book, Slightly Bad Girls of the Bible. But you can't go wrong with Liz Curtis Higgs. I especially like her study questions at the back the book. She uses other parts of the Bible to clarify or support each lesson.
