I’m disappointed in this product and had high hopes. I had ordered two of these and the box that they came in from the manufacture was damaged as well as the eyes on the turtle were scratched on both turtles (separate orders). It’s a cute product but I do not recommend this product. I really wanted to as I live the story behind it and the turtle is darling. Just a bit musty and moist after a few times microwaving, didn’t like the smell compared to other Warmies we have

I used this for the FIRST TIME and put it in the microwave for one minute and it literally CAUGHT ON FIRE AND BURNED

The InFLOATables Turtle Stuffed Animal - Balmy Buddies Microwavable French Lavender Scented Plush is very soft and huggable and is a good size to hold in your hands. You can smell the lavender by rubbing its belly a bit even before you microwave it. You can feel the lavender and grains on the ends of the front flippers and on the belly but it is still very smooth and soft. The whole body is made of soft velour but the eyes are very large and plastic. There is no way to take the lavender and grains out of the body so you should only spot wash as necessary. It comes with a cute little birth certificate to fill out and make the "adoption" official. It is not a very large toy but it sits on you very nicely and if microwaved will give just that small bit of extra warmth you need.

Second update: the company promptly sent a free replacement turtle, free of charge. It is here being snuggled. My son's afraid to heat it up, but he is happy to have a turtle to snuggle again. It gains a star for superb customer service, but I still can't recommend a product that is meant to be heated but is prone to burning when used as directed.Update: After 4 months of use with occasional heating using the recommended time in the microwave, this smells horrible! It smells rancid and burnt. My son is devastated that his turtle stinks and he doesn't want to snuggle it anymore. I'm trying to figure out a way to salvage it, but I think it is doomed. (We performed a turtle autopsy. It has grain inside cloth pouches in the belly and fins. The grain was all oily and scorched).Original review: This turtle is a bit smaller than I thought it would be. It is very soft, but the eyes are huge and hard and not super comfortable to cuddle with. It smells good, but it doesn't stay warm very long when microwaved. I like the color changing heart on the flipper. Overall, it's okay, but if it was bigger and heavier with embroidered eyes it would be much better.

For some reason my original review of this isn't showing up, and I no longer have the pics I used in my original review. Anyway. I ordered this ADORABLE microwavable turtle for my son to help ease his sinus headaches. The turtle is small but does what it says! The cute little heart on him changes color when hot and he holds heat for a long time. Not only is he super stinkin' cute, but he's really soft and easy to hold. Unfortunately, he does -stink-when he's warmed up 😅😬 but that may be personal preference. He's supposed to smell like lavender but to us it smells like burnt popcorn. The smell HAS gotten less bad (or were getting used to it) with consistent use.

He's super cute as a stuffed animal, but the lavendar aroma isn't very strong in him, even when you put him in the microwave. He gets hot quickly and stays warm for a long time. He's very well stitched and absolutely adorable, my daughter loves him!

I got this for one of my nieces who loves turtles and this was a great gift!! I love the lavender scent even without putting the turtle in the microwave. The turtle is so soft and huggable. She said she loves to hug and smell it, especially after a hard day at work. I don't know if the turtle or the scent relaxes her more. Makes a really good gift.
