ADVANCED ELEMENTS Compact Touring Paddle 4

I purchased this paddle to use with an AE inflatable kayak. I was concerned that this paddle would have some instability when the 4 parts were assembled. That is not the case. When everything is locked in place the paddle is rock solid. My wife has a composit carbon paddle. This AE aluminum paddle is a bit heavier than my wife's expensive paddle but for casual use the lower cost, excellent construction and ease of travel afforded by the ability to disassemble this paddle into 4 short sections makes it an excellent choice.

I got a lot of good use from last summer and looking forward to much more.Excellent for those of us with inflatables since it breaks down nicely. And is light yet strong.

Great paddle. I have a SeaEagle inflatable kayak that came with two paddles that were designed with deep grooves in the paddles that scoops up water and dumps it in our kayak. This put an end to that. It's lighter too. I will be buying two more next year.

Good combination of light and rugged. I like that all the pieces are about the same length. Can't really get a better paddle unless you spend hundreds of bucks. Internal caps in each section help it float (at least for a few minutes as tested). I use it with my Klymit Lightwater Dinghy.

These paddles worked great! they fit in our suitcase for our trip to Hawaii. Assembly was straight forward and easy even for our kids. I cranked on these pretty hard playing in the waves and they held up the entire trip.

Wonderful emergency kayak paddle. We kayak whitewater in a group of 10-12 and so far 4 of the group have been very happy I carry this with me whenever I'm on the water. Doesn't take much room in my compartment, very easy to assemble and very strong for it's light weight. It's been used for approximately 40 miles of serious water by 4 people and still looks and works like new. Preformed way better than expected. NICE PRODUCT!

A bit tough to take disassemble and reassemble.

i like all the adjustments --since im new to this sport -- i took this and all i need was more of a grip -- i went to the sporting goods store and bought -baseball bat tape- the thicker stufff with padding .. --now this is a dream
