I'm using this wire in a second battery installation for a 500-W radio transmitter in an SUV. It is super flexible for its size and easy to work with. The insulation is thick and easy to strip. The wire behaves well, with its many small strands, when inserted and crimped into heavy copper lugs. Definitely worth the price.

This wire is legit. Super thick. High strand count. Very heavy with a nice jacket. Bought this wire to use on a dual battery setup on my truck. Using a hellroaring isolator, with this big fat chunky wire. Will post pics as I get it completed!Updated with pics. Crimped on 2awg connectors (also purchased here on amazon) and am very satisfied. Will post more pics once project is complete.

Cable is not very flexible, not the silky flowing cable I've come to expect from a "flexible cable" though I've seen worse. It's not horrible and does the job. Cable does have a bias and does good or bad does not twist easily, but this also means you can't just whip or easily drape the cable around as needed. Black rubber and oily residue easily comes on everything staining clothes, hands and leaving skid marks. I tried cleaning jacket but it made very little if any difference. I'd guess the jacket is just a simple low quality rubber compound that is not likely to handle heat well and will likely become brittle and rot out in a few years, and not epdm or some similar longer life material. Given the apparent oil content this would seem to be a fire or inhalation risk if exposed to flame. I do not feel this is a good choice for a welding cable that's going to see some use and abuse. Wouldn't order again.

This is 100% Pure copper wire I bought 20 feet and the weight is there worth every penny this company is honest a legit so if you want or need the best power wire for your amp mine 4500 watts RMS this is the place to go no joke I've been into car audio for 30 years I've been a bass head and always will be my favorite of my hobbies and Cooking some mouth watering can't stop eating even when full Cook being my second favorite hobby this is the best wire I've ever had my hands on in these 30 years so buy with 110% confidence because I guarantee even top car audio like JL Audio and Kicker can't even compare there wire to this company's wire no doubt about it so thanks for not ripping me off for 20 bucks worth ofy copper and leaving it my huge 4/0 copper rope lol you rock

I'm using this for a car audio install. I chose 6ga rather than 4ga since the size difference is minimal vs. getting more cable length for the money. The cable will bend easily and it's real ofc. It came rolled onto a nice spool and wrapped with plastic wrap as to not unravel. Best of all, it's MADE IN THE USA!

Southwire brand wire! I was surprised to see the Southwire name on the cable when it arrived and dispite other reviews, the black does not rub off onto other things... Just keep it clean and away from harsh solvents, which I would've assumed it a big duh... I used it for a battery kill switch in my truck and it's very flexible, more so than the bulk cable that the local auto parts stores carry. Worked great, will buy again.

I used this cable for a power inverter project in my Nissan Xterra. This cable is more than sturdy enough for the job, yet flexible enough that I was able to route it where I needed it without much fuss. It was some of the less expensive 2/0 cable I’ve seen. Cables this size are criminally expensive, so finding this roll made me less bitter about throwing my hard-earned money at it.

I was buying my cables from another well known supplier here on Amazon. I was always satisfied with them. I was about to place another order when I found the Spartan brand. The price was better and I only needed a small ammount. So I figured I'd give Spartan a try. I'm glad I did! Great quality, great price, more flexible than what I had been buying. I'll be buying more!

Ordered 20' of 4/0. And the whole cable was no good as every couple feet the insulation was worn through. Very disappointed. . .
