Splendor Black Activated Charcoal Soap Bars - Unscented, Natural, Cold-Process, Odor-Neutralizer, Handmade, Vegan, for Skin Hand Body and Face

If you ever have a bad smell, this is the only soap that really deodorizes the full day including when you’re outside for a hot summer day. I’ve tried every other charcoal soap, natural soap and regular soap without luck. This literally neutralizes oder as strong as an onion so the smell doesn’t come back. This is unscented so it doesn’t have other ingredients that mess up chemistry and bring body smells back. Only thing to be careful of is it is strong if you use it every day. After a few showers I switch to Johnson’s baby wash which also helps because it’s not too scented like other soaps and not weak on odors like other natural soaps. For women use the Johnson’s soap on your sensitive bikini parts so it’s naturally fresh while using the charcoal soap on everything else (neither on your face of course). Skip the charcoal soap fully some days and use Johnson’s so you won’t dry out. Those together are perfect to stay naturally fresh the full day. For face use neutrogena face wash mask (the white cream). The charcoal is too strong for the face. But with the charcoal soap I can be outside running and active for hours or sweating with stress etc and still no smell.

Odd review, no doubt. I had a bad odor in refrigerator and had nothing else to use, I put a bar of this soap in there and smell is gone

I've gone through a majority of these soaps from Splendor, and some of them don't last very long, while I've found a couple that have lasted for a while. The longest-lasting bar so far, looking back at my past orders is the Vanilla Oat one. A 3-bar pack lasts 2 months routinely, and once lasted 3 months. This Black Charcoal 3-bar set lasted just under 2 months. The only other 3-bar set that has lasted this long was the Tea Tree bar, which lasts a little over 2 months each time I buy a set. There are some bars that get crumbly when they get thin, but the Black Charcoal Is not one of those. What I usually do is wet then "glue" the thin bar onto a new bar. The most crumbly was the Peppermint bar, and second but far less crumbly was the Oranges/Oats bar, but that one smells so good I can forgive it. The only real drawback of the Black Charcoal is that I'm not a fan of the smell. It doesn't stink but it just doesn't have an appealing smell. I would place this as my overall 3rd favorite soap from Splendor.

My previous charcoal soap was discontinued so I tried this because it was one of few on here that I could find with minimal ingredients and no scent. The light grey color in this soap leads me to believe the charcoal content is very low, unlike my other one, which made my washcloth black. This one lathers well but a bar finishes very quickly. My search for soap will continue.

I normally don't leave reviews but I'm in love with this soap. I don't have horrible acne but it's moderate, and I'm in my thirties, so it's depressing. It's bad enough that I can barely use moisturizer or make up without a horrible break out. Specifically hormonal cystic acne around my chin. I've spent a lot of money trying to fix it with no help. Little did I know some simple soap would do wonders. I've been using it for ten days twice a day and my skin has drastically improved. I haven't had a single new blemish (which is unheard of honestly) and it cleared up old ones that have persisted for a month within a few days. On top of that it has my facial skin looking just amazing overall! I'm beyond happy already. My skin is smoother, softer, clearer and brighter. It's amazing. I will be ordering again consistently and have already recommended this to my friends. Thank you so much for an amazingly effective product. I also use it on my body and it makes my skin so soft! I'm just so in love with it, order it, today. Right now. Lol.

Definitely not what I thought bars are small but I do understand what it takes to make them and prices are going up on things I would recommend for acne prone skin just make sure you put it in a dry place or soap box

It was really hard spending this much money on soap but I try to reduce my contribution to animal cruelty etc. when I can spare a few extra bucks. I really like these soaps. They have a nice subtle scent, they're a solid size, they lather pretty well, and they're smooth. They're more of a gray color, so I was bummed that they couldn't reflect the intensity of my dark soul, but I just turn up my emo playlist in the shower to find the right balance. I haven't experienced the grittiness I saw mentioned in the comments. I have pretty sensitive skin and these haven't irritated it so far. These soaps are a nice size so I feel like they will last awhile. After about a week of showers, the bar is probably about 3/4 of its original size. There was a sample soap included in the box which was a really nice touch. My sample was tea tree, which I was excited about because tea tree is an anti-fungal (so great for preventing/treating yeast infections and athlete's foot), but heads up- it is concentrated enough that it will sting your happy places. Anywho, great soaps, highly recommend.

This soap can leave your face dry. I have acne prone skin and can’t use any harsh cleaners and I also can’t use too much lotion after washing my face or it would cause a break out. I have to be very selective on my facial cleaners. While the charcoal is suppose to helped with acne I found it to leave my face too dry after washed. I mainly use this now for body wash instead. Soap does cleans well and has a nice scent. I actually prefer their tree oil soap for facial wash, as it is more gentle on my skin.
