This is the Walnut stain, with before, during and after photos! The worktop is unfinished beech from Wickes. I knew I wanted a dark wood but it’s been 6 months since installing as I was scared of getting the wrong colour or finish. I bit the bullet when I saw the reviews on this, whilst searching for a well known brand of stain. I applied it with an old sponge, wiping in the direction of the grain and only needed a small amount for this whole worktop. You do need to be quick to spread it out and rub it in, but it’s very easy and took me only 20 minutes in total. Thank you! Now I’m wondering if I could stain my dining table and chairs 🫣

I purchased the Natural Oak color and decided to test it on a sample piece first (good thing I did!)—the stain came out grey, even though I had used a pre-conditioner.Since this wasn’t the look I was going for, I started browsing other stain colors. Eventually, I circled back to this product and checked the reviews more closely to find a shade I liked. I noticed several photos where Natural Oak looked exactly how I wanted.I reached out to customer service, and they informed me that since this item is Amazon stock, you need to shake the bottle vigorously to properly mix the pigment that settles at the bottom.I tried it again after shaking thoroughly—and the true color came through!Tip: If you buy this, be sure to shake the bottle really well before applying.

Very good for a water based stain. Sceptical at first as always relied on spirit based stains. Purchased 9 bottle tester set first. great for small touch up work too.

Great product. No smell, fast drying. If you can’t find the proper colour try to mix few of them. I used rosewood & mahogany to cover my kitchen – it looks like new now 👍🏻

Good idea re samples -unfortunately in my case the finish was too 'paint' like and not just stain enhancing the beauty of the wood .

I purchased the dark oak and it's absolutely perfect colour so easy to apply, I used the little foam applicator took no time to do and dried really quickly lovely finish

Works well - used the dark oak colour and created an attractive effect on the wood. A little bit messy to apply as liquid based but okay to use with a cloth and a brush for trickier bits

Antique pine (satin stain) I needed to revive my unit it had ring marks scuffs etc . Worked a treat and dried very quick , I did make mistake of ordering satin instead of gloss but I can go over with a gloss varnish . Good price arrived next day give it a good shake and your off no odour and dries very quick .
