I bought this as my Father's Day gift using the gift cards my children gave me and boy, am I glad! This little speaker has great overall sound including excellent bass. When I searched for the right speaker for me, I saw that many new speakers are set up to also be a battery source for small tech products such as smartphones. Unfortunately, that is the only thing that this speaker lacks. I decided that it was more important for me to have great sound rather than another form of power backup. I have been using a similar Bluetooth speaker for about three years. I was always trying to make it louder and incurring the red letters of death from my phone that could be hard on my hearing. Well, not the old unit that is for sure! For the first time that I can recall, I have actually had to turn DOWN the volume on this speaker as I get physically closer to it when I'm working outside. I thought about purchasing two less powerful speakers (10 watts) and connecting them in stereo. I think I made the correct decision by staying with this single 24-watt speaker.The one thing that I am sorry was not included and really should be is a simple electrical power adapter. The manufacturer only included a USB cable to charge this. I have a power strip where I charge my tech products. I feel that using a computer is less convenient for that. I was able to find an older adapter from a previous device that does work to charge this speaker.I don't think you can go wrong buying this for outdoor work or camping, that sort of activity, since it is also water-resistant.

I use this in an aquatic center environment that swallows up sound. I needed a speaker that is louder than one I already had. I could barely hear the old one and this one works great. My class appreciated the increased volume. There doesn't seem to be an indicator that it needs to be charged so I charge it before each class

Given the price, I really enjoy this speaker. I agree with some reviews that lighted buttons would help in dark conditions but overall easy to connect with decent sound. It's not astoundingly rich sound but definitely gets the job done. The bass is lacking a bit unless you turn it up louder, but for only ~$40 on sale, it's worth keeping. I really love DOSS but I wouldn't spend more than what I did for this speaker again. I may update my review as time goes on but first impression is good so far.

I ordered two hoping the bluetooth settings for my laptop and phone would allow me to use both at the same time. No such. Luck. Also the second one didn't seem to charge fully or recharge fully either when I switched out the cable. Something seems to be inherently wrong with it, but I can't be bothered to take the steps to return it. I'll chalk it up to poor quality control standards for letting this one through, and leave this disappointing review. Take your chances folks: 1 got one out of 2 that works extremely well. The other one? Not so much.

First off, these speakers sound great and can get loud. In the house at least, as I have not taken them outdoors. I bought these to compare with some other 20 watt speakers that I had already purchased and that I really liked. I now have two Zamkol 20w, one Vanzon 20w and these two Doss 24w speakers. I thought I would return either these or the Zamkol speakers depending how they compared to each other. I decided to keep them all for different reasons as they each have good and not as good features. These Doss speakers are much louder than my 20w speakers and much crisper sound. The things about the Doss that are not quite as good as my 20w speakers are... my auxiliary cord plug was too big to fit and I had to use the supplied thinner cable, the shape is odd and they don't sit as securely as my others, last thing is that these Doss are not 5.0 version bluetooth and therefor not as good of a wireless connection. But still these are my favorites of them all regardless.

The media could not be loaded. Have put this thing thru some rough use over the past few months and it still works great. It produces very good sound and long battery life. I use it intermittently, but I'd guess 8-9hrs of battery life on one charge.I left it on another package car and the driver that had the truck that day got about a half day of use out it after I had used it the day before. He liked it so much he bought one too.

Speaker is 9 months old and will no longer take a charge. Constant beep when plugged in. Tried different cables and outlets. Very disappointing. Unless Doss replaces the unit I’d say buy a different brand

I wanted to use this as an extension speaker. However, when the extension plug-in was used the volume was way low and always a hick-up behind the system it was connected to. I returned it and purchased a sound bar instead. However, this portable speaker works great when connected to your phone through Bluetooth.

I wasn't expecting much from a little bluetooth speaker like this, but I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality and volume capability.Very happy. And a couple months on, no problems. Would recommend 👍
