ZOO TYCOON 2 - ZOOKEEPER COLLECTION

Zoo Tycoon has been a imagnative, fun game my kids really love. It lets their creativity go "wild" and it challenges them to create the ultimate 5-star rated zoo. Each zoo they create seems to get better while they are getting an introduction in Computer Aided Design (CAD) at the same time! It's a wonderful product!

The game is pretty fun, but it has it's fair share of glitches. A lot of the map building elements gives a lot of options, but is limited compared to other sim games. It also lacks more detailed map building like making water falls, changing the size of a lot on a location, or more map spots. There also are some glitches in building slopes with the fences over them.Problems I've had with it is that the AI is really horrible. Animals can be thirsty for a long time, with a full water bowl right in front of them, and never take a drink of water. It is very annoying. Also in 1st person Zoo keeper mode, the lack of a pointer makes it feel like you are pointing with your nose, and it doesn't feel like you have as much control as you should.Things that I'd wish were in this game is more information on the status of the animals and requirements. If I am building a cage for a leopard I shouldn't have to guess that it needs an Elephant size cage despite it's size. I'd also like to be able to control what is sold in shops and vender's, and most importantly I'd like to be able to go into a god mode and tell an animal/Zookeeper what to do (like in the Sims). It may help with some of the AI and path finding problems.It is very fun though, and I recommend it for the discounted price.. at least until Zoo Tycoon 3. Hopefully Microsoft addresses the problems though.

While it was easy to order and received quickly, the product did not work and I had to get a replacement. I have not yet received the replacement discs, but I hope to in the next few days. The game itself is great according to my 10 year old!

Being an animal lover I was very keen on the idea of creating my own virtual zoo and when I saw this product online and I had to buy it straight away.I bought the Zookeeper Gold collection with the Marine Mania expansion pack... and im totally hooked!I was abit dubious at first buying the product as I was apprehensive about the game being too child orientated (im in my mid twenties) but it isnt, it is entertaining and enthralling for all ages. It is a good source of information and helps all ages learn about different species, their habitats and needs.I have had the game about 3 days and have gone online straight away to purchase the 'extinct animals' expansion pack, if your thinking about purchasing this product dont hesitate, you wont regret it!Miss Smyth

I bought this from the Amazon Marketplace and am very pleased. Having the core game and two packs will certainly please my children, and the franchise as a whole is very healthy - the up and coming extinct animals expansion is already on the list for the future

ZOO TYCOON COMPLETE COLLECTION-PC CD-ROM I've no idea , my PC is windows 7 and the game is not compatable. If only this had been mentioned I wouldn't have wasted my money. A fix for the problem had been promised weeks ago . Last I heard about 2 weeks ago, was that he was looking for a windows 7 pc to test it on .... still waiting ZOO TYCOON COMPLETE COLLECTION-PC CD-ROM

Game is fun to play, nothing special, will keep you interested and wanting to play it for 3 Months MAX.Overall Amazon Service: Excellent
