Wow. I researched for weeks on a quality umbrella with a chic look. Look no further, this umbrella is IT.Function: very smooth opening and closing, I can do it with one hand if the other hand is occupied.Size: 48" is the perfect size walking around in the city, my shoulders and arms didn't get rained on even in heavy rain.Weight: It's like hold any stick umbrella, it isn't noticeably heavy and I consider it light compare to all the past stick umbrella I have owned. But it won't get blown away either when windy. You can wear it on your forearm if hands are occupied.Quality: the grip handle is comfortable, the fabric is sturdy. The umbrella doesn't swing around when there's wind.Fashion: I'm a strip person, and this mens stripe looks just as good on a girl as it does on a guy. Goes with all kinds of color coordination. The finish is fine, an overall very fashionable look. Forget about that boring black umbrella!

I'm not someone who is terribly brand loyal, but there are a few items I own that have really changed how I think of those types of items. This umbrella is more expensive than your compact plastic pharmacy number, of which I've owned and broken many (let's refer to them as "disposables"). This umbrella is sturdy, good looking, broad, and fun/easy to use. I owned this exact umbrella for years without a single issue, and recently had to order a replacement because I left it on a bus, which really bummed me out. But then I realized that someone else will get to experience the magic that is this umbrella, so I felt less bummed.

Smaller than expected, but really sharp looking and very well constructed. In a real downpour I would not expect this to cover me and my bag, etc., but for regular use it's pretty good and it does look very nice.
