Sits on the ground but the sides are high enough to prevent the messy eaters from scattering the food all over the path (I use it for general purpose mixed bird food)It is therefore easy to remove the feeder with any remaining food overnight so as not to attract rats.It drains water well when it is raining, and it is extremely easy to wash both the bowl and the stand.It looks like it will last for years, making it a good investment compared to many cheaper but poor quality feeders.This is the second type of feeder I have bought from "Jacobi Jayne I Love Robins" recently, and the birds and I are very pleased with both feeders.

As suggested, I direct this feeder towards robins. Firstly I add a handful of mealworms and then sprinkle over the top a suet nugget in very small pieces. What a pleasure as it is, of course, a firm favourite with the two robins in my garden but also lots of other small birds that are unable to eat from a hanging feeder. An excellent addition to my bird feeding apparatus - thank you Jacobi Jayne.

Takes a good amount of seed and stand is good and sturdy.No good if it rains. It fills up with water. It does have holes drilled for drainage.But very nice.

My wife bought one, it was quite expensive. It was very good and sturdy. I searched Amazon and found the identical one. I bought another two, came quickly and extremely good value

It's so easy to take apart and clean. The holes in the bottom of the clear tray help drain water out when it rains. Its exactly what I wanted and I wanted and I'll definitely be buying more!

Bought for ground birds that miss out on the feeders. In the evenings I put food on it for my little Hedgehog 🦔 visitor. Easy to clean. The dish is quite awkward to get out of the stand to clean.

Optisch ein ganz tolles Design! Jetzt muss es sich nur noch bewähren. Einzig die Schale zu entnehmen ist fast unmöglich ( geht sehr schwer und ich habe dann eher Angst es kaputt zu machen). Ich werde es dann mit dem Unterteil saubermachen müssen.Die Höhe ist ideal. Und standfest ist es auch.

Der Futterbehälter ist leicht zu reinigen und der Metallhalter für die Futterschale steht stabil auf dem Boden. Von den Vögeln wurde die Futterschale gut angenommen. Ich habe mich nur sehr darüber geärgert, dass der Karton mit dem Firmenlogo in die Futterschale eingeklebt wurde und es ewig gedauert hat, bis ich die Klebereste alle draußen hatte. Das könnte man wirklich besser lösen. Optisch und vom Material her gefällt mir der Futterbehälter nicht so gut. Ich mag natürliche Materialien wie Holz oder Keramik lieber. Aber weil ich in der Futterschale Insekten und ölige Haferflocken mit Insekten anbiete, war es wichtig, dass das Material keine Gerüche annimmt, leicht zu reinigen ist und sich auf dem Material keine Keime vermehren. Deshalb habe ich einen Kunststoffutterspender gewählt. Die Löcher in der Schale sind praktisch, falls es regnet. Das Wasser läuft dann wirklich gut ab und das Futter kann noch gefressen werden. Wobei ich das übrig gebliebene Futter, das dem Regen ausgesetzt war, am Abend dann grundsätzlich austausche. Den Preis finde ich etwas überzogen. 10 Euro wären meiner Meinung nach angemessen. Aber davon abgesehen würde ich eine Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.
