As advertised
Bought this net to replace a measure net that I used to have. Went with the Jr guide version to have more versatility to use. Net looks and works great. Only drawback is that it is a little heavy when trying to net your own fish. Still very manageable and the larger size makes it so I can use it for trout, steelhead and salmon rather than just trout. Was a great addition to my fishing gear.

Great Net
Measure nets come in small, medium, large, Jr guide, and guide. I have owned the large one for years and have enjoyed using it for trout on spring creeks. It is great for quickly netting a fish, measuring it, and releasing it. I have had a few larger fish flop out just I was lifting the net to measure the fish. The Jr guide net has a deeper bag so the fish don't flop out. It is heavier to carry but worth it. I'm very happy with this net.

I have been using the large sized measure net for ...
I have been using the large sized measure net for the past few years and found that I was struggling to get fish larger than 20" into the net. It was just not wide enough. The Jr guide works very well. The drawback is its weight. It is very heavy.

Great as a packable large net
Needed as large of a net as I could get that I could still fit in the bag when traveling to Alaska, awesome for large rainbows and stealhead

Great Boat Net
It is a great Boat Net. Only negative is it's heavy.

Great net
Net breaks down well to travel with and seems like a robust design. It is a bit heavy if carrying it all day, but defiantly worth having on the river.

Jr Guide is a great net!
Love this net, the Jr guide is a little big to use one handed but it's not that bad.

Buyer BEWARE!
OK, I am not a "Verified Purchaser." But my fishing partner bought one (actually, two) of these and felt ripped off.He ordered it for a fishing trip to Alaska we're taking very soon, as in we're leaving tomorrow. But it came WITHOUT A HANDLE! It was absolutely useless that way. OK, he figured it was just a simple error. He ordered another one, figuring he'd sort it out later and we absolutely HAD to have a good, strong, reliable net to take with us.WRONG! The replacement net he ordered also came without a handle. He asked me to look at the website, figuring that maybe there was something he just missed, that maybe he misunderstood something, and that a second set of eyes might help solve the problem. Nope. I read it over real well. There is NO indication that it came without a handle. The picture doesn't show just the net in a frame, sans handle. It shows the whole net, WITH a handle. In the end he had to find someone else who had this net, then pay for overnight shipping. The net came today. It's a perfectly good net. Strong. Useful. It'll be fine. But he shouldn't have had to go through that. Plus, the express shipping pushed the cost WAY up. A $78 net turned into a $133 net.Postscript: It appears that this is an Amazon problem and was not caused by the original vendor (The Measure Net). The vendor has had this problem before. Amazon is supposed to include the handle but doesn't sometimes. The seller has seen this problem before and had tried to get Amazon to correct it, but it's not worked out well.In any case, it's an EXCELLENT net, it'll last a long time and is very high-quality. But just be prepared to have it show up without a handle and be useless to you until/unless you get the handle issue resolved. Do NOT order this net if you need to be able to use it right after it's delivered or you might greatly regret it.
