Plastic Inside, Not for All Day
I do have some likes and dislikes. Likes; it does hold 34 ounces of liquid, height is good, not overly large for a side table or small dinner table. Has a flip top, yes this is a bonus because after trying many other carafes, the ones with the push buttons/screw top lids, always retain liquids inside the lids and you can't clean them very well unless you use a pipe cleaner to get inside. I purposely was looking for a different lid style. This flip top is very easy to clean, clean inside with just a bottle brush, easy. This claims 2-3 hours to keep beverages hot, I poured 190° plain hot water, with lid closed and timed it for 1 hour. After 1 hour the temperature read 164°. I don't drink coffee all day and I'm ok with the time, if you pour hot water in first while your coffee is made, then pour it out and pour in hot coffee, it might give you easily 2 hours.Dislikes; the gold is not the prettiest in person, but okay. The company sent this and it had some scratches on the pour spout, sort of deep and pretty noticeable for a supposedly 'new' item. Also on the sides and around the bottom more minor scratches, quality control is lousy. Also, if you freak out about the idea of drinking hot beverages from plastic, the whole inside is all plastic, this item may not be for you. I do think it would be good as a small pitcher for cold drinks in the fridge, since it's not too big.If you need coffee to stay super hot all day, get an old fashioned Thermos, otherwise it's fine as a little pitcher/server.

Persistant Plastic/Chemical Odor
I drink French Press coffee, and like to make a large batch but need a container to keep it warm between cups. I had high hopes for this, as my current carafe requires hand washing, and I jumped on this one that could be run through the dishwasher. The product has a chemical plastic odor that will not dissipate. I've tried baking soda, coffee grounds, sunlight, coffee grounds and sunlight, 6 cycles through the dishwasher and coffee put into it to keep warm is undrinkable because of the chemical/plastic taste imparted into the coffee. I would definitely not recommend for hot liquids, perhaps it is not so offensive for cold beverages.
