Can't wait for more Blackwater stories
I have no words to describe how great the reading experience of the series was. I have so much to say I'm struggling to put my thoughts into words, so I will just make sections like a school report I guess. Also I'm not going to beware of spoiling anything so read at your own risk.-THE STORYShit is really about to go down. Where the previous book was the calm before the storm and was dull at times, here we don't get a moment of rest, while not overdoing it to the amount of feeling tired like other books of the genre often make you. Hannah knows when to stop for a rest, spicing up the story with moments of love, of grief, of epic, calculated battle, of checkpoints in a characters journey, of self evaluation, or sometimes just pure humor, to give you a moment to breathe. I felt like I was riding a rollercoaster, at points screaming in fear and frustration, at others slowly climbing up towards another steep fall, taking the moment to appreciate the view.-THE HUMORThis book is HYSTERICAL. Its clear that Hannah is very connected to her world and her characters backstory, making each one an individual gem of pure sarcastic intelligence. She manages to construct the most unexpectedly appropriate surroundings for a PERFECTLY landed dark joke, catching me off guard each time and making me cackle like a demented chicken. Some jokes were a pattern repeating itself, like a frustrated Dima yelling "Mama..." or a sweet Lulu suddenly being hardcore murder machine material offering to melt peoples brains, and I really love when an author keeps a certain line of humor throughout a book, while funny every time it starts feeling like a personal joke we share and generally indicates on a good, well thought of structure.-THE CHARACTERSNever have I read a book in which I liked every single character. I've been saying this in my reviews of the previous books as well but since we met a whole bunch of new ones in this one I can't stress the point of how unusual it is for me to not be able to find even one I don't like. Even the villains are so perfectly written. It is also the first book not written by Stephen King in which I can clearly picture each person or wolf described as clear as day. Everyone (and I mean every single person making the smallest appearance) has their own look, complete with height, eye color and even a distinguishable voice and accent. At a certain point I even had the urge to act out the fun bits at times.-RUSSIAI was really concerned at the end of prey, realizing the next stop is Russia. A lot of authors really can't illustrate us Russians right. I don't know how she did it, but being in Hannah's Russia felt like home even more than I imagine returning to actual Russia for a visit would feel. The condescension, the dark sarcasm and the indifferent approach to blood and murder, the snarky remarks and disregard of political correctness, making the American girl feeling uncomfortable to the level she suspects she is dealing with psychopaths was just PERFECTION. The vodka drinking uncle, making everyone cringe and reverts to Russian even though she can't understand him - ON POINT. Even Nikolai's reasoning for leaving Addie sat so well with the way I was raised, on values of family and honor and self sacrifice. I was so positively surprised, and really enjoyed the world she created with it's enchanting scenery.-THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENTI've mentioned before in my reviews of the previous books, that this is the first time reading YA that I really feel and remember that these are teenagers. Well in this book I got to feel and see them grow up in front of my eyes, with careful, well thought of conducting. Scenes like Skye beating the shit out of the old alpha house, Remy having a moment with his sister, expressing his doubts, and she owning up to being wrong before and stepping into her part in the new pack hierarchy, Rhodes fulfilling his duty as beta and replacing Remy in a fight.. Each time, elegantly, the spotlight was turned on a character to show how much it has grown, and I was all there for it.-THE SMUT (cause everyone seems to care so much about smut)Everyone who knows me as a reader knows I don't like spice. Being a completionist I usually suffer through it without skipping pages, and as a result I've seen a whole bunch of it and its really all the same. Not in this case. The amount of sexy scenes was really in good taste, and while avoiding diving in to too much detailing, Hannah managed to illustrate a clear picture of a strong, sexy man who (REALLY) knows what he is doing, while being loving and considerate, taking his previously traumatized mate's needs into account. The content itself is really refreshing, there's no magic penises, almost each scene has a little quirk to it I haven't seen before. While it feels that a lot of NA and adult authors are just copying from each other, Hannah really showed them how it's done. Also I'm a bit jealous :))-THE EPILOGUEI hate epilogues. J.K.Rowling has ruined them for me forever.Well, Rowling should take an example from Hannah. Starting with the same first sentence of Sanctum, Hannah manages to show the happily ever after our characters were seeking in contrast to the dark beginning of their story. The happiness seeps from the pages, while staying true to the pain of their journey and avoiding overly sweet clichés. Seeing our protagonists in their home, amongst their family, some being their usual goofballs, with children running around terrorizing everyone just wrecked me. I wish one day I'll be lucky enough to be surrounded in such love and friendship and promise for future.Speaking of future, a lot of leads have been left open in both the book and epilogue. We know we're going to get to see Addie and Nik's journey, and recently a Dima and Lulu book was announced, but I really can't get enough and will devour anything Hannah adds to this world.I think this is the longest review I've ever written. Phenomenal job.

5 stars until the last quarter of the book
Legacy was an enthralling read. The world building was interesting and the characters compelling. The high stakes situations had me reading at the edge of my seat. But the last quarter of the book, the resolutions to the high stakes situations was basic and just too easy. So I loved the story, I love a happy ending but the path to this happy ending was not very believable.

Perfect Paranormal Romance
This story is fantastic, filled with love, dark themes, and action-packed. Skye and Remy are a fantastic couple, and I love everything about their relationship in this paranormal romance fiction. This story didn't go as I expected it, but I love how it twisted and turned and plotted good vs. evil. Remy is seriously swoon-worthy as an Alpha and mate; Skye is a badass heroine. This book gets action-packed as the author resolves many of the hanging plotlines that didn't in the two previous books. This story does get dark, gory, and steamy. The plotline and characters will you captivated. This book does have a trigger warning for dark themes. I can't wait to see what happens to Skye and Remy.We start this book with Skye. She is in Russia heading to meet her father with her stepbrother. We jump between points of view, and honestly, I can't wait till our main characters get back together. This book is moving too slowly for my liking, and I'm not loving the separation of our main characters. Still, I do enjoy the leadership we are seeing out of Remy. The answers we begin to get in Russia are sometimes someone else's story to tell, and the next book in this series as it focuses on Addie, Skye's mother. However, I am curious where this will all go besides vengeance.I love how this shifts with more support for Remy and Skye. That reunion is swoony, steamy, and perfect. I can't believe her father did that. I wasn't expecting it, and it leads to other action moments in this story as this couple fights for equality and women and mating rights. I like that this pack war is bad vs. good, and you can tell which characters fall where on the sides that have been drawn. This book and story and all the issues couldn't have ended better. The epilogue of this book is perfect for wrapping up this book and this fantastic wolf shifter story. I love the family Skye made in the Blackwater Pack.

Fantastic!
All three books are fabulous! This was a wild ride and it got me. Hook, line, and sinker! I loved them. The author is a terrific writer and someone I will follow to read more of their fantastic stories!Three books...The start of these books are rough. They all have triggering aspects that need to be cautioned. Throughout all three you will have happy and sad times. You see the challenge of every character. Remy and Skye are fabulous together. Even more when you add their friends and family. I think this author has set up these books to make you love each person in a different way. Each couple has a potential to have their own story told. That being said, I'd love to know what happened to Sierra! Not to mention the other 16 women who went missing.I know I am in love with this particular story. The way each person grew and the author had both Remy and Skye tell it! What? OMG...LOVE!There are some grammar errors but nothing that takes away from the actual reading and the build up of the story. Again, major trigger warning!Enjoy!I certainly did!

good
This is a strong 4* not quite a 5* but I am stingy with 5*s. I really do enjoy this author she consistently writes well, has well developed storylines and characters. I look forward to reading more in this series as well as her other series. The epilogue could have been better and was a bit of a let down compared to the book itself. I also feel that Skye could have been made a bit more badass in this. I would like to have seen her as a stronger Alpha Female in this book, think the author missed a trick with this as the males still seemed to be much more at the forefront. Maybe we could have seen some magic from her in the finale or her maybe be able to challenge and win against an alpha. So as much as I did love this series I was left a little flat. Still one of my favourite authors this year.

Perfect conclusion to Skye’s Story
I read all 3 books back to back (found Rhodes after I finished) such a good story line and I like how even though the epilogue sets out some actions for SCARS the 4th book - we still have a few mysteries to wrap up … where are the missing girls? How do the new packs take being controlled by a new council with such different ideals and views? I also can’t wait to see more about the Russian and European / Asian packs would love a series based in both of those where we get a small cameo or feel for the new world order - maybe follow a girl who grew up in Norwood or was taken and now has to adjust back.Amazing and gripping writing with steamy scenes that also approach consent and trauma understanding from the survivors POV and the person trying to love them and make them love themselves.

Hannah Mcbride has done it again!
Legacy was complete and utter perfection! From the twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat; to the highs and lows that hit me with ALL the feels!I can’t wait for scars, I love Addie and can’t wait to read her book. Easiest 5 stars I’ve ever given: if I could I’d give 100
