I got the Sola 16" Big Red to see if the vial was worth it (it is) before I bought a longer size. Both vials are ovals magnified 60%, readable equally well from any perspective. Between that and their green contrast, it's the easiest to read of any brand I looked at, including Stabila. I also considered Keson, which uses 20% magnified Sola vials, but the 60% makes a big difference (though even the 20% Sola vials are easier to read than other brands). And the build and accuracy are excellent.

I have premium levels from all of the top brands and I have to say, the vials on this Sola are the easiest to see. I won't get into all of the other criteria and comparisons between brands as they are all very nice, but this seems to be the level I always grab first from the pile. Nice job Sola!

Great quality ..the bubble is really magnified the neon green help a lot as well ..magnetic on both sides bottom and side ..belt clip holder really secures the level ..could use a better belt clip… but not a deal breaker at all ..

I’m an audio video contractor. I mount TVs all day and every day. Been eyeing this level for awhile. Very heavy, and the design is different from the normal torpedo levels I’ve grown accustomed to. I’ve used Empire and Johnson levels which were fine. But visibility was a major concern for me. So I took the dive, Quite expensive, but you usually get what you pay for. Magnet is great, solidly made and visibility is awesome. I’m still getting used to using this level. My other levels I can use both sides for marking and ensuring things are level. You can only use one side and I can’t make marks on the top portion above the level. So it will take some getting used to. Over all I’m pleased.

Really nice instrument. Having the app on the phone makes remote measurements a breeze.Used it locate level on an old loader bucket that has no level indication and cant be seen from the cab. Just put in on top and the magnetic base sticks to the bucket, then read the angle inside the cab off the phone. Works perfectly.
