OK but not as capable as the advertising might have you believe - a great device with a poor App.
First impression upon opening is of a well made device. The manual contains information on all the functions but is not particularly well written and can easily cause confusion, particularly regarding calibration. The Victron Energy Connect App needed to make the best use of the device still has bugs. For example there is an auxiliary input/output on the shunt which can be connected to a second battery or a temperature sensor. I bought the temperature sensor and then went into system settings as per the instructions and selected the sensor. The Status page of the App now shows the temperature as it should but the History page still shows the starter battery min and max voltage - even though this voltage is actually the voltage returned from the temperature sensor. The App page labelled 'History' records a few 'Minimum, Maximum and Total figures which are useful but I have not found a way of zeroing the figures without resetting the device to factory settings which then loses all your initial set-up parameters which you have to enter again before using the unit. The IOS App uses the screen space well, but the desktop App only uses about 15% of the screen for the graph and the other 85% just to show a single percentage figure (see screen grab). Why oh why was the space allocated to the graph not increased to a more realistic width? For me the biggest disappointment is that this unit does not provide true historic data on the trend line. The data shown is only for the current session whilst the App is open. If you close the App or minimise it on your IOS device it stops recording data and the information is lost forever. I had hoped that it would be possible to either retrieve at least 24 hours worth of trend data when logging into the App or at least have it it to a CSV file on my desktop.I am hoping that the weaknesses I have highlighted are because the manual is so bad and I have missed something rather than that this popular item still needs further development or has been sold with capabilities which actually rely on the customer also purchasing extra equipment. Only time will tell.

Not a Victron item!
I just had delivery of what I thought was a Victron Energy Smart Battery Monitor. As you will see from the attached photograph, this is clearly not what was supplied. The item was delivered in a Victron box with a Victron manual for a BMV 700/702 monitor as pictured in the information on the page, which is what I was expecting to be delivered. This item is being returned immediately.

Cannot log data and Bluetooth connection not very stable.
Cannot save data so it is pretty useless as a battery monitoring tool. (You can momentarily check the battery status but you cannot not log the measurements in the Victron app). Quite disappointing. Also Bluetooth keeps disconnecting.

Overall does a good job
In general it's good, but there are some functions that are confusing at best. No lowest voltage reading for example. It's also hard to read without the backlight on, maybe where it's mounted out of direct light.Does a good job of switching the charger on/off, and the BT device is works well. The downside is the BT app for Victron devices is annoying as you have to keep connecting individually, why not one integrated connection ?Overall does a good job.
