I purchased this to mix with sugar to make ant traps. Within 24 hours they were gone! At first, I wasn't sure this homemade remedy would work, but it worked much better than the dry ones you buy. Google a recipe and try it for yourself.

I bought this to use in the laundry, to help with fungal infections. It was rather expensive, but I thought I needed something of a good grade. It did a wonderful job; got rid of the musty smell in the thick bath towels, and odors from my husbands work clothes. I may try a less expensive one next time.

It's boric acid. But be advised that this particular formulation is not a powder. It's more like granulated sugar.

Used this Boric Acid to get rid of ants. I made a 3:1 ratio mixture (3 TBSP of sugar and 1 TBSP of Boric Acid with a little water to make a paste). I placed the mixture along 3-4 spots on the kitchen counter. It took about 2 weeks but they are completely gone! It was somewhat inconvenient and icky seeing these ants on my kitchen counter for 2 weeks! I didn't use the counter during that time but I could see as time went on, that the ant numbers were decreasing and now, voilaa! no more ants!

We use Boric Acid in Tanzania to repel army ants. Here in the U.S. it works to get rid of waterbugs. I also use it as an eye cleaner for my husband's blepharitis, 1/4 teasp in 1 cup of water, cleansing each closed eye with a separate cotton ball.

I followed all the instructions but this chemical does not work on killing ants.
