Serious Voice Actors should read this book over and over and over again.
This work is quite simply a treasure trove of useful information, memorable metaphors and brilliant tips for all levels of voice actors... and any other breed of broadcast talent for that matter. With improvements in internet transmission technologies and the metastasis of the home studio concept, the voice over industry is becoming more competitive by the day. You need something to set yourself apart.I've devoured most books currently available on this subject over the past 6 months; many include entertaining stories or references to the current state of the voice over industry. There's a lot of general information out there that is or will soon be obsolete. However, V-Oh! will stand the test of time for it's laser beam focused treatment of how the spoken word can be used to your advantage and misused to your peril. You'll find yourself reading this and thinking "Oh! Now I get it!" over and over again.

Short Chapters - Rich in Meaning
Marc’s book is excellent! He’s organized the information with the busy professional in mind. The short chapters are rich in meaning but can be internalized in less than an hour. I’m able to better leverage skills I already have, recognize bad habits I need to break and identify specific ways to make the copy come alive. His references to art and music help you infuse three dimensional life into two dimensional black text on white paper.
