Rachel’s Food for Living

Easy recipes for every occasion
As always with Rachel's books, the recipes are easy to follow and turn out the way you expect them to - so you get great results with a minimum of fuss. There is something for every occasion in this book, as the chapter titles show: "Food for the Soul", "Childhood Favourites", "Making Memories", "Something to Celebrate", "The Lazy Sunday", "An Elegant Afternoon", Pleasure Without the Guilt", "Food for Romance", "For the Love of Chocolate" and "Classic Dishes". I tried the "White Chocolate Buns" and they were dead easy to make, I even managed to whip them up before going to work, something I normally wouldn't be able to do, since I'm not exactly a member of the rise and shine party. They tasted great (funnily like macaroons - very yummy and a bit sticky) and disappeared really quickly once my colleagues tasted them. I can only recommend this book, especially if you're looking for something to make the whole family happy. Since it is beautifully laid out (with an added pink ribbon to mark your page) it also makes a nice present.

My favourite cookbook ever!!
Okay so I've just moved to university and although this is not a student cookbook I wanted my own copy of the food stained cook book my mum and me use at home. I've always found Rachel's recipes super simple to follow, although not always easy or fast the results are always incredible.Definitely recommend, something in there for absolutely anyone and loads of recipes you can tweak once you get the hang of them!

A Pleasure to Own
This is one of my favourite cookbooks. I have made several of the recipes and they are all easy to follow and delicious. I would recommend a hardback copy though as you will be using it and looking through loads.I definately wasn't disappointed with this cookbook and hopefully neither will you be.Happy cooking!

Easy cooking and Baking
Always enjoy this lady's recipe books as they are so beautifully produced with easy-to-read recipes which are not out-landish. I find I usually have most, or all the ingredients in my larder when I wish to make any of her recipes off the cuff.

Ooh lovely jubley
I love Rachel Allen, she's a fab chef and has some lovely ideas.I love her book style too, she plans meals out for you and ideas and puts them together for different types of "do's".Recipes all seem solid and the ones I have used have all worked a right treat.

Some great recipes I have tried 3 so far, although the book has a rather confusing layout. Was sent well packed and in great condition.
