A great read for all women-especially Black Women
Excellent at detailing the historical path of black women domestics and their curvature of shaping out the cemented role that black women have played. Not only is the struggle so eloquently shown but the silent (often coded) small victories as well. The comparative literature analysis brings home the intercultural power of the black domestic and their fight to "clean up oppression" to be able to rightfully contribute and earn a significant place in American history.

Not Your Mothers Mammy was amazing
The book was thought provoking. It touched home for me, as a domestic worker. I loved her depiction of domestic workers and their fight to be heard. I loved it.
