Easier to put together than expected
The instructions were all pictures, but every part-even the screws-were clearly labelled, which made things easy. My father and I were able to put it together with only one mistake early on.I like the storage that the shelves and drawers offer, though keep in mind you lose some desk space for them, so I wouldn't go for this desk if you have more than one monitor. The desk surface also doesn't have space for a computer tower, but that's not a huge problem because the desk comes with a little board to put your PC on. The board is a little short for my mid-tower and doesn't have wheels, but it's better than putting it on the floor or competing with my monitor for space.Surprisingly sturdy for a random Made-In-China desk. A small woman or child could probably sit on it, though I wouldn't test that.Overall I'd give it a 4.5/5, but Amazon doesn't allow half ratings, so I'll be nice and say 5/5.

Don't pass this up. It is so worth it!!
I promise this by saying much of my furniture is flat box furniture, usually IKEA. IKEA can be expensive and there have been times when items are more difficult to put together than it should be.With that being said, this desk is awesome (with two caveats - I'll address later) and beyond affordable and easy - SO EASY - to assemble. Easier with 2 people but doable with 1.It is SOLID. As other reviewers have mentioned, you can switch the profile and put the shelves on the left, but there aren't holes drilled and threaded for the foot rest/support cross bar on the bottom. If you have the ability to do this, it will work fine. This was quick and easy to put together.First caveat: Except the drawer rails. This were an expletive to figure out, but once you get it, you feel like an idiot for having it take so long. Let me try to verbally explain. Oh, and they are GREASY so proceed with caution. On the inside of the track, there is a black plastic tab. When you are trying to separate the tracks for installation, just push the long skinny plastic triangle to either side as you take off the track. I hope that makes sense to you. Don't handle it too much and place it on paper toweling whilst waiting to install them. They're pre-greased and it's thick.Second caveat: the edges of the drawer track are stoopid sharp. Pulling up to the desk on the chair, it literally cut thick denim on my leg. All it took was taking a metal file to the corners and now it won't kill your clothes. All in all, can't beat it for the price and it's actually worth every penny. We will be looking at this company for other products and my son is getting one when he moves out. That's how great it is.

Good desk for the money.
Title says it all. You probably already know if you want this desk or not. But regardless, some of the things to know if you are buying/considering buying it:** Design **The layout and arrangement is actually pretty good! The side cubbies have been more useful than I thought - perfect size for my printer and other accoutrements. I like that it's pretty small and compact - but I still have room for two monitors. Although it's worth pointing out that the design is not reversible - the shelves have to be on the right.Although I will give it demerits for the keyboard drawer - it's barely big enough for my compact keyboard and a mousepad. It really could use another 3-4 inches of width.** Aesthetics **The desk is pleasant looking, but you won't be fooling anyone that this is an expensive desk. Stamped metal and laminated particle board. Also, the middle shelf of the cubbies doesn't align with the other two and that frustrates me every time I look at it.** Hardware **Some of the boards were already cracked during shipping, and there was some rust on bits of the frame. Nothing too major - nothing that shows. But still, a bit frustrating.I appreciate that they provide assembly tools, but the hex wrench they provided immediately stripped itself on the parts. Make sure you have your own tools. They also use some really goofy screws for some of these parts. Also, the edges of the sliders are razer sharp out of the box - especially the ones that stick out from the edges of the keyboard drawer! Don't cut yourself! Find a stone or asp and dull it down first thing.** Assembly **Assembly is pretty straightforward but very time consuming. Instructions are not great. Be warned that there are a few things that are very easy to put in upside down or backwards. It took me about 2 hours.Overall, pretty happy with the desk, especially for what I paid for it. Would buy it again.

Good desk, helpful tips!
Most importantly. There is an assembly VIDEO on this product page. Pay attention to the way the drawer and tray slides are attached. My gal and I assembled it in just over an hour. Yes the paper instructions suck. They should be more zoomed in on the tracks. (Also. The plastic tab disassembly and re assembly are important) besides that it was fairly easy. A screw gun with a Phillips and a Allen head makes it quicker. The only piece without pre drilled holes was the slides on the CPU tray. It was a quick fix. I put the slides on and marked the spots. Drilled it out with a small drill bit and it was fine. Honestly I love this desk and it is perfect for my office space. (YouTube @ Hook & Needle Tv)

Not as difficult as others described
First of all, this seller was amazing. This box was marked as delivered by FedEx, but it never got to me. I contacted the seller and they quickly and easily replaced the item for me at no extra charge. Great customer service! I will recommend this to everyone!Onto the desk itself. Everyone in these reviews said it was awful to assemble, but that wasn't my experience. It took some time, sure, and the instructions weren't very clear, but I got it done. I definitely would recommend a power drill for this one. As someone else said, be sure to check where to wholes on the other side of every piece are so that you can make sure it's positioned correctly and doesn't need to be flipped (some pieces are symmetrical). The hardest part to figure out was the rails for the drawers. Once you figure out you have to pull the tab and take out the innermost rail, then put it back afterwards, it's easy.Dedicate some time, have a beer or wine if you get frustrated easily, and this will be a breeze.
