Simple setup for spring garden watering
The media could not be loaded. Works great, I bought 2 last year for use in my vegetable garden with drip hoses. Simple and Easy to program. I have it sent to water twice a day (Every 12 Hrs) 30-Mins at 6am & 30-Mins at 6pm. A Word of Caution: Most battery operated water timers on the market today utilize a instant on plunger valve which means your watering hoses and piping as an instant pressure surge which can damage your rupture water lines and fittings causing leaks. To remedy this and help protect from water hammer damage it is highly recommended to also install a "Sioux Chief 660-HB Water Hammer Hose Arrestor, 3/4-Inch" same as water hose end fittings. Easily Installed Water Hammer Artester on the inlet side of the water timer and you'll be good to go.

Very disappointed in this sprinkler. Not worth the money.
I ordered this sprinkler on April 15 and installed it and it worked just fine. A few days ago I noticed that my plants and scrubs were not being watered. Upon check the devise I discovered that the Big LCD Screen was full of water. I disconnected it and brought it into my garage to dry. As of 5/19 still nothing on the LCD screen. I had to go to Lowes to buy another system, not the same brand, so I could get some water to my plants. I contacted the company 5/16 and I got a reply from them to send them the ID number. The onlyID number I had was from amazon. Still have not heard back from them after sending the number and also calling them. Don't buy this unit. Not worth the money .

ALMOST 5 STARS BUT NOT QUITE
Its great, easy to setup but the only reason its not 5 stars is that you can't manually turn the water on. Once you screwed it on to your faucet, its blocks water until its time schedule is ready. I wish you were able to turn on water flow manually without having to take the item on and off.Update, there is a Manuel way to have water flow. I must have missed it in the instructions. 5star!

Quick and easy setup to make watering automatic!
The media could not be loaded. I have this timer set up to water my greenhouses for my Winter garden. We are using it for some strawberries and cilantro at the moment, but may add in a few other plants thru the season. I bought this to be able to automate our greenhouses outside asucb as possible so we can avoid miscaring for our plants.Since it is a water system outdoors, we made sure to position it higher up in the greenhouse in order to keep its temperature above freezing thru the cold. We are currently using lights to sustain our plants and they provide enough ambient heat to keep the greenhouses a great temperature. Lately the temperature has been getting down to 30°-35° at night, but the greenhouses are staying between 60°-65° so we have no worries there.I've programmed the two outlets to have different cycles so we can focus on the different needs of our plants. It's great to be able to manually run the system as well when I think it could use just a bit more water. You can run just the first side, just the second side, or both together with just the press of a few buttons. I love that it helps me deliver consistent amounts of water to plants and keeps me from have to do the guess work.It runs on two AAA batteries that in my experience last a long time in use. I love that I can just set and forget this system. We've utilized a 1/4in irrigation system with this unit, but you could use it with a regular hose or even some soaker hoses if that was better for your situation.

Like it a lot, but disappointed
So I had no issues with the set up. It's logical to me. Was really excited about it and it worked great until after 3 weeks the LCD was no longer readable. If I put pressure in the face I could read it, but otherwise it showed partial letters, etc. I'm disappointed because I've gotten no reply from the mfg. Just submitted inquiry with seller so we'll see... I cannot see anywhere what the warranty is which is very concerning. I returned this one in time, but purchased 2 more of this brand. I still like the products, but I'm concerned. I read somewhere that LCDs do not do well in heat or sun. If that's true most timers will be an issue down here in Florida! Thinking of putting cover, insulator, something over the other units. Wish I had heard back from mfg!

Cannot skip station
I use a timer for my outside hose and drip irrigation system. When my last orbit timer broke I ordered this one as a replacement. I always purchase a two spigot model because I use one of the spigot’s as a hose connection that I can manually turn on when I need to use a hose, in the usual fashion. The other spigot attaches to my drip irrigation line that waters certain plants when I travel, or as needed.Since I only have one “wall” spigot outdoors this is the only way to get trip irrigation in place and still use my house in a normal fashion. However, after several hours trying to figure out how to set the hose station so that it never goes on, except in a manual mode, I could not make that work at all. I tried calling and emailing the manufacture and I contacted the seller as well. No response all around. The bottom line is that I think this timer will not leave one station blank so that it can be used only in manual mode. Unless the entire unit is turned off, both stations have to come on weekly for some period of time. It’s all or nothing! That’s not the case with the orbit timers… They work better!Plus, this unit uses two AAA batteries whereas orbit uses AA batteries and has a much longer working lifespan. I’d buy orbit brand instead.
