Value braid with performance to back it up
One of the best braids I've ever used. I was normally a Suffix Performance and 832 user - not any more. This behaves well on spin (currently on Penn Battle II and Penn Clash 4k and 5k and Quantum Boca 40 and 60) but it behaves exceptionally well on conventional/baitcaster (on my Abu Record 60, Luna 300, and Avet SX). It's more limp than coated so you may get a tip loop if you don't pay attention but this is largely a user issue. It's very durable - even without the coating. It makes little noise through the guides (mostly a minor issue with braids). The most important thing you have to remember is this stuff tests true on breaking strength. The 30# really is 30# - not 40# like everyone else. That also means the 30# in this is the diameter of 20# for other braids. This is important - if you are used to 20# and you buy 20# in this - you may have casting issues in saltwater with headwind on the beach. It also means you have to pay attention to the capacity. Overall excellent braid at a great price point.

Quality
This Davies J-Braid is AWESOME. I bought my first baitcaster a while ago, and paired with monofilament line. The mono was a mistake. I got rid of it and bought some braid. The diawa j braid casts triple the distance and has amazing durability. I bought 15 pound and it was breaking at 30 pounds. Very good value for the price. I would recommend this product to anyone who is a beginning bass fisherman.

Fantastically smooth, 8 carrier braid at a great price.
Daiwa again showing why they're some of the best in the biz. This line is about half the price of PowerPro and is far superior, closer to the "Slick 8" stuff, which I also don't like. Solid strength, great knots, abrasion resistant, and the only cheaper braid I'd even consider is KastKing. I've got this stuff on every reel I have that uses braid, from 50lb for snakeheads in the dense vegetation to 10lb for mean old river smallies. Give it a shot, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Looks great on reel and is very strong
Some of the most inexpensive Jbraid I found was this. I purchased 20lb multi color and it looks amazing on my curado DC. I love the strength and looks. Be sure to purchase leader line as well if you’re using it for all fishing.

Fishability
Very nice line and no noise, very easy to tie knots with. Very supple.

This is the best casting braid line I've ever used, especially on spinning reels.
This 8 strand Diawa braid line is thin diameter, extremely soft, the color does not seem to bleach out ,and on a spinning reel casts extremely well. It's a bit more expensive than many other lines, but its features make it worth the slight difference in price.

Breaks easy, won’t hold a knot.
I have used j-braid on my heavy outfits for years, but the 15-lb was awful. Wind knots galore, and won’t hold a knot very well. Lost a nice fish when it broke at my fg knot.Swapped back to power pro and had no issues casting same baits on same outfit.

Small diameter.
15 lb. Test with the diameter of 6lb. or less. Casts great.
