Will of the Hill

My days of reading children’s books were over years ago, but as I was perusing for holiday gifts for the little ones in my life “Will of the Hill” caught my attention after seeing Marshall Cobb as an up and coming author. I had to read the book to be able to discuss it with the little ones. I was surprised by my own reaction. I was able to clearly visualize the sceneries and actually “hear” the characters voices, sobs, screams and laughter as well as feel their pain, fear, triumphs and joys. The author engages you from the first few pages and it is a fast read. I found myself laughing out loud a few times and did not want the book to end but as all good children’s books it ended with an important message about friendship and misconceptions.

A fun read for adult and junior hi group alike. Great characters and magical writing.

Captures the imagination immediately and holds the attention with cleverness and just the right amount of silliness! Loved it!

Wonderful and well written. My kids have read it several times and have now passed it on for others to enjoy!
