The Bezoar of Kings (Dramatized Adaptation): Vagrant Queen 1

I came across the knowledge of the comic through the syfy channel adaption. I liked it but it got cancelled due to covid. I wanted to continue the story so I decided to get the comic. The adaption is pretty faithful so far with little difference. I'm excited to catch up where I left off in the show and see how the story could have progress. Try it.

Featuring beautiful artwork and a take-no-prisoners heroine, the characters are semi-likable. Random cursing though out and pop culture references that make no sense drag the story down. Case in point, in a universe where Earth doesn't exist, how does the protagonist know about Jesus Christ? As for the pacing, the story feels like it's only a few pages long, and the ending feels disjointed. It's almost as if instead giving me a story that continues on in another comic, I was sold the first chapter of a graphic novel.
