Q: what connection does these fans have?

They have rgb and normal 4 pin conections

Q: how many fans does the splitter operate? have you got the 140mm yet? can you turn off the light on the splitter independently?

It came with 3 fans, the remote operates the 3 fans and the remote control operates the functions on the fans, the only thing I find is you can not slow the fans down using the bios settings only with the remote so they are a bit loud and faster than the cpu fan, that is controlled in the bios settings, they work well and the colours are on both sides of the fan so it is lit inside your pc tower and outside. The fans are decent for the younger gamers or people that do not require silent fans. They work well while cooling the pc. You also need molex to power supply. Mine was molex to 6pin for my psu.

Q: can these fans be controled lower than 1000 rpm in a software like asus ai suite? as the listing says that they are rated at 1000-2000 rpm

I'm not sure but they do have 3 different fan speed settings on the remote
