Android Software Internals Quick Reference: A Field Manual and Security Reference Guide to Java-based Android Components

For those who are still using Java for Android development, this book is a great resource! It provides concise summary of information needed IRL for Android developers. This book paid for itself the second day I owned it. Respect and gratitude to the author for putting this together, I'm not aware of any other reference that is so concise and helpful.

In my case, a good reference to start my first line of business Android App.

It is important to note, book only partially viewed and read, but due to poor structure of text and organisation of book. Does not present Android conceptually well and relate it to overt functionality which would have helped in solution of security issues. I am a firm believer in the old adage, 'a picture speaks a thousand words'. Usage of diagrams to convey relations and progress in time would be better; dropping in real life problems with examples would be the icing on the cake. To get the cherry, well nothing really is that technical that an individual with a passion to share cannot convey.
