An excellent Conan adventure by Jim Zub
When Marvel Comics acquired the Conan the Barbarian license, they started the series with Jason Aaron and Mahmud Asrar as writer and artist. They wrote the series for the first 12 issues and it was decent. From issue 13 Jim Zub took over as writer and Roge Antonio as artist and it was much better comic. Zub understands Conan, he is a rogue clever and heroic but also ruthless and savage. This collection collects issues 13 - 18 where Conan is east of Vendhya (which is India in the Hyborian Age) participating in gladiatorial style tournament. The story is great and art by Roge Antonio is also good.

Not up to past artwork
I'm not sure who the other reviewers were but they obviously don't know what good artwork is. I've been reading Conan comics since the early 70's and the artists back then were far superior to todays. Think Barry Windsor Smith, John Buscema and others. They understood Robert E. Howard's vision of Conan. Of course Frank Frazetta had the definitive portrayal of the mighty Cimmerian. Today's artists need to go back and see what Conan really looked like.
