Storage simplified
Gamma lids are amazing if you access the contents of your buckets frequently. I do, and this was a fantastic deal. We use it for food storage as it is cheaper to buy food in bulk (and our family goes through it quickly). I love the variety pack so I can remember which item is in which bucket just by looking at the lid. To add even more variety, I mixed up a few colors, like a red ring with yellow lid. When it arrived, one ring was just slightly misshapen and wouldn't fit on the bucket. I contacted the seller and they responded very quickly with a replacement. Great product, great place to buy from. I highly recommend them.

As important to have on hand as duct tape, wd-40 and zip ties!
This is a great system! I have one that is all chewed up by a raccoon. Every morning it's in a different place and there are more teeth marks, but the darn critters can't get in. It just makes me giggle a little every day. The lid stays tight and whatever is in the pail is safe and in good condition. We are using 8 or 9 around the farm. Dog food, chicken waterers, cat food, everything safe, which saves me money. You really need to push down to get the outer ring to snap on, but once it's on it opens and closes with just a couple of spins.

This is such a incredibly ingenious idea (at least for the perrenially thrift-minded recycle junkie) --
If you have the right style of pail (which I did -- mine were new; containers for some bulk food items I had purchased earlier this year), these lids really work great! They snapped into place using just my hands and like magic -- an already handy bucket was converted into a water-tight, air-tight, easily resealable rugged plastic container that will last for years. Haven't yet tried to remove it, but I suspect that is a rather difficult feat to accomplish (if it can be accomplished at all).

Easy access lids
These lids are great. Easy access, sturdy and seal tight. No more fighting to get into a 5 gal. storage bucket. I love them.

These Things Are Great!!!
I own a large saltwater aquarium and that requires me to change a large amount of water every week. I used to use regular Home Depot buckets, spilling water along the way. Now I use 5 gallon food grade buckets, with graduated markings on the sides, and these Gamma Seal Lids. The lids form a perfect seal and not a drop of water spills out. I've been using these for about a year now and there are a few things I've learned along the way.First, you'll think that you need to tighten the lids as tight as possible, having to wedge the bucket between your shoes, while pushing down as hard as possible, to untighten the lid. While this works for a while, it will wear out the lid faster to the point that it's almost impossible to get it off. As long as the side part that snaps onto the bucket is on properly, you just need to tighten it modestly. You don't need to tighten it as tight as it can go, nothing will slosh out along the way. I go up & down stairs with these and not a drop spills. The second thing I learned, and this is on the smaller 2 gallon size, is that the cold can snap the bucket part if there anything in the bucket. As the plastic expands and contracts with the temperature eventually the plastic ring around the bucket will weaken and snap. Having something in the bucket just speeds up the process. So try not to leave them outside during the winter everyday with liquid in the bucket, even if the liquid doesn't freeze. But these will form an air tight seal with just a modest twist. If you're keeping any type of food or animal feed I would recommend a food grade bucket. They sell the plain white ones here on Amazon. I just prefer the bucket with the cushioned handle because a 5 gallon bucket full of water weighs 40 pounds and after a few uses that plastic handle starts to break. Not to mention it's a LOT easier on your hands. But if you're not concerned about a food grade bucket, but want the cushioned grip, Home Depot sells them only on their website for a very cheap price and they fit with these lids as well.Don't expect these lids to perform majic though. I've read reviews where the reviewer gave a bad rating because rodents chewed through it. If a rodent can chew through the bucket, of course it can chew through the plastic lid. Just because it's a twist-off lid doesn't make it impenetrable. As far as functionality goes, these lids are a game changer for buckets (and they make a decent seat as well). You can use the different color lids to remind you of what's inside the bucket as well.

Making storage easier
The last time I ordered these was about 10 years ago, and they are still working great, I just needed more water proof lids for buckets that go off and on easy. These lids totally do the job and I have not worn 1 out in 20 years.

Gamma seal lids rock! And this is a good value multi pack.
I love these lids! I’ve been using gamma seal lids for years and they’re awesome in every way. One improvement I love is that there are a bunch of little fins around the perimeter, I assume for structural strength and stability. On my old lids these fins are on the outside and create a dust trap and cleaning nightmare. Now the fins are underneath on the inside. Brilliant! As wonderful as these lids are they can be kinda pricey so I found this multi-pack to be very economical. Plus there’s the advantage of being able to color code your contents. I wasn’t going to rate durability since I just got these a couple months ago, but I realized I have others that are maybe 15-20 years old and still going strong!

Excellent Customer service
One of the lids was damaged and the company shipped me a replacement lid. Product worked great as described. Much easier to work with than the standard lids.
