Scary first experience
As far as sound goes they sound great. Some amount of basic customization is available with The Jaybird app and that is a plus. But it has 2 major design flaws in my opinion. It’s to do with the assortment of ear fins and plugs.1) While attaching the fin/plug assembly one has to choose the appropriate fin first and slide it over the metal housing of the ear speaker. Now there is no abutment towards the farther edge to prevent the fin from moving further out. So essentially the fin does not stay in the same place all the time.2) This I reckon, and by first hand experience found to be a major flaw-One chooses a snugly fitting ear plug for best result. It snaps into place and supposedly held there by a small groove. In my case- I used a snugly fitting ear plug. After a workout and some sweat, I tugged the cord to remove my ear phones. THE SILICONE EAR PLUG stayed in the ear canal. It required a visit to the doctor to have it removed! Since then I have switched to one size smaller ear plug which sometimes allows ambient noise through and occasionally fall out, but I rather live with this compromise.

I don't know why
I'm a jay bird fan I am truly on my 3rd pair of headphones. Looking for amazing sound in a small neat headphone you have found it. It has a cool app that goes along with it.FEAUTURES TO ADD:1:More clips for your shirt2:Repairs. The previous pair I owned slipped between my car seat and I ran over the controls and it won't work.200 dollars down the drain.3 I bought the red ones the same night as it was on sale with tears in my eyes! A tracker of some sorts needs to be added so I can locate my device.4. I still can't find my perfect fit the tips that's in this pair are not the ones tha was in the previous so I can't work out without them falling out. The additional parts are expensive to replace atleast to me.

Great Everday and Workout Earbuds
Let me start off by saying this, I love music, I dont just like music, I love it. That said I have spent a lot of money trying to find a great of practical everday headphones that sound good. Unfortunately there is always something, usually something small, that prevents me from awarding any particular headphones with this award. Well this is it... I have found them. The JayBird Freedom's are remarkably small... especially for a pair of wireless earbuds. While you might not think of size as too big of a selling point it is actually a really big deal. This was a problem with the Jaybird BlueBuds X and the JayBird X2's. While both of them are very nice headphones and both sound amazing, they were not practical headphones to carry with you all day. Because they are larger they are much more conspicuous in your pockets, to myself and to others. The super small size of the Freedom's allows for them to be put in your pockets all day without even noticing them. Another problem that i found with other headphones that are not wireless is that they catch on stuff as you walk past and get in your way depending what you are doing unless you string them under your shirt which gets uncomfortable and just isnt practical which defeats the purpose. The sound quality is incredible, as can be expected from JayBird. They provide great bass, tony mids, and crisp highs. The MySound app is also very well designed and thought out. It looks good and has a very user friendly interface except for when you go to save your sound profile. While it is still relatively simple it is slightly more complicated than it should be, however that is only a minor con amidst the sea of pros about these headphones. My first thoughts on the battery being in the inline controller was that it would constantly be yanking the bud from my ears, however the controller is extremely light and i experienced no problems in this area except for when i had the charger pod thingamajig attached. While it is also very light it does start to pull the earbud from your ear if you are running or working out with it attached. I found that to fix this all i had to do was install the earfins. There is nothing wrong with the fins they are comfortable and easy to use so this is only a con to me because i personally prefer to leave them off. If you would use them anyway, which i would recommend for workouts or running, than it is not a big deal.I was very impressed with all of the little things that JayBird included with the Freedom's, although I would say they were definitely included in the price. They included six sets tips foam S,M, and L and the more common rubber S,M, and L. I personally prefer the foam eartips because they are more noise isolating than the rbber ones, and i find them more comfortable to wear over extended periods of time. They also include 3 sizes of earfins 2 cord management clips and a cord clip as well as a small bag to contain all of your stuff.Overall the Freedom's are an excellent choice of everyday headphones if you can cough up the $200 that the cost at the time of this review.

Great Sound and Design, Stand Out From the Crowd
Summary-------------------------------------------Pluses- Great rich sound, plenty of Bass- 'My Sound App' allows alteration of levels- Look great, design stands out from the competition- Very light, barely notice they are onMinus- Ear fit was an issue for me, although fixable (see my fix at the bottom of the review)- Battery life suffers due to design- Worry of losing the ability to charge headphones due to battery charge designI had done my research on wireless headphones within the 150 - 200 price range and the 2 that seemed to stand out from the crowd were the Bose SoundSport (coming in at £139) and the Jaybird x2 (previous model to the Jaybird Freedom). I originally purchased the Bose SoundSport but for reasons detailed below I returned them. As the Jaybird Freedom (the model superseding the Jaybird x2) was just about to come out I decided to wait and get these.Audio quality-------------------------------------------In my opinion these headphones totally outshine the Bose SoundSport. I was very disappointed with the amount of Bass and depth of sound on the Bose. I am also a fan of noise reduction headphones - the Bose are not noise reduction and the seal in the ears is very loose. This is purposeful as they are meant for for runners or cyclists who need to be aware of surrounding sounds (traffic etc). I wear my wireless headphones mostly in a very noisy gym environment - I don't want to have the pumping techno they play to be seeping into my ears whilst I am listening to my chosen tunes whilst working out. Having said that, the Freedom come with many different ear pieces so if you are a runner and need to hear ambient noise I am sure you can use another fit to achieve this.Another massive plus over the Bose is the 'My Sound' App Jaybird have developed which allow you to alter the Low, Mid and High sound range balance creating your own unique sound. The option to share your saved levels as well as try other people's is a really nice addition.Design-------------------------------------------The design of the Freedom is excellent. The battery placement is now on the cable, rather than in the phones themselves leading to a very sleek and unobtrusive look. They certainly look cool. I wear mine over the ear with the cable coming down across the front of my neck. It's a tight fit as the cable isn't overly long but this is perfect for me as I don't want the cable flapping around distracting me during my workouts. Once they are securely fitted you can barely notice them and they are very light.Battery life-------------------------------------------The only downside to this new design is a reduction in battery life in comparison with the competition - they last about 4 hours with the volume right up. There is an extra little battery pack that attaches to the cord that extends battery life by about 4 hrs, but this adds weight and when attached tends to keep tapping you on the neck if doing anything more vigorous than bicep curls. Also, you charge the headphones themselves via this little extra battery pack via mini USB so if you lose the little battery pack there is no way to charge the headphones without buying a new battery pack - which at the time of writing this review is not currently available separately. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the ear fit wasn't great for me originally along with the slight worry of the battery charge issue I already mentioned. They kept falling out. Which is annoying when you are in the middle of a circuit as you lose focus. Whichever ear fitting I tried (and the headphones come with many options), I just couldn't achieve a snug secure fit.If you struggle with the ear fit-------------------------------------------I got around this by buying some larger eardbuds for 3.99 (do an Amazon search for 'Sony MDR large buds'). They fit the Freedoms perfectly and now I achieve a great fit.

Not Worth The Price - Find Something Else
Personally would recommend a different pair of earphones. The sound quality is decent. Out of the box, they sound really flat. You'll need to adjust the EQ with their app for sure to suit your tastes.Battery life is about 1.5-2hrs with my volume usually set over half of phones capabilities. The weight of the battery/control is fairly heavy which can be annoying. If you'll be jogging/running, you'll definitely notice this problem. They will only stay in your ears as long as you use the ear clip thing or whatever it's called. My biggest problems with these were the earbuds. They constantly fall off. I've lost all the foam ones that came with the earphones. The silicone ones aren't any better. They do an amazing job of noise isolating though, to the point that the earbuds will stay in your ear holes while you try to take them out. They. Just. Keep. Getting. Loose. Earphones does not have anything to "grip" the ear tips.Regret buying.

Big mark against them is I still hear outside noise and volume was not that great. Unlike the jaybird ear phones
I am a huge fan of Bose products and I have tried the wireless solution they had to offer however they did not suit me. Big mark against them is I still hear outside noise and volume was not that great. Unlike the jaybird ear phones, sound is great, fit really well!!! 2 things I found jaybird could improve on are, battery life, doesn't seem to hold charge as advertised. When battery is at 40% the earphones die quickly!! Another dislike about the jaybird is syncing issues. Device will lose music signal when advancing songs... very annoying to stop and re-sync iPhone to earphones...nonetheless I am pleased with these wireless headphones, so far the best I have tried!! Really!!

The don't stay in my ears! Useless.
Sound quality is great. They quite light, I can't tell I'm wearing them. Build quality is solid. Simple to connect to the phone and app works well enough. Charging is quick and easy.Comfort is abysmal. The earbuds never stay in my ears. I'm constantly readjusting the earphones during my workouts to the point of frustration. Because of this I can hear everything going on around me. None of the supplied tips work for me. I've tried wearing them the standard way and reversed. The comply foam tips also rip apart after a few uses. They cause more frustration than they're worth.

but it constantly feels like the wires are being tugged when i look left ...
The biggest mistake I made was diving into the wireless earbud world at this high price point without any history using them. The earbuds continuously pop out of my ears - this may be because i'm a tall guy with a think neck, but it constantly feels like the wires are being tugged when i look left and right.the weight of the component on the right side is noticeable, and causes the right ear to pop out regularly. The quality of the sound is superb and the accommodating app works flawlessly on my iphone 6S. I haven't had any wifi connection problems, which was impressive.overall i wanted these for convenience at the gym, but it's clear they won't stay in place with any form of continuous motion. Sweat proof, sure. But the sweat also dislodges the earbuds. With the way the wires are designed to wrap around your neck, coupled with the weight of the dock on the right side, these earbuds popped out every five or six minutes.Unusable by me due to discomfort.
