DonJoyLateral J Patella Knee Support Brace Without Hinge: Drytex, Right Leg, Large

Followed the size guide. IT was a little tough to pull on and seemed small. But that's why the size guide needs to be followed.. its supposed to be tight. Last brace I had kept falling down. This one doesn't. Keeps the patell afrom sliding off outboard to the side when exercising and saves a lot of pain, as well as keeping away that weird unstable feeling when things don't quite mesh right.

I have had knee trouble since i was a kid. I needed a better knee brace than the ace brand braces Wal-Mart sells since they tend to tear and ruin in no time. I asked my Physical Therapist about what she would recommend and she handed me a printout of this brace. It supports the kneecap very well from sliding out and keeps my leg from extending too far one way or the other keeping me from another broken kneecap or other injury. The only problem I have with it is it seems to be too tight in one area and not tight enough in another, but it works and does what it was intended to do.

This brace has helped me tremendously with my knee stability. My knee doesn’t quite sit in the grove properly so my doc suggested this brace to aid with aligning. I wear it when I have long shifts on my feet and the gym. Complete game changer.

The knee brace overall was comfortable but it depends on how your knee is injured. Stability is quite helpful but my orthopedic doctors don’t recommend this one for people with basic knee pain.

My dr walked me through Amazon to order the exact knee braces since insurance would cover 2 sets. These are the exact same pair our orthopedic surgeon's office gives out. And was cheaper then if insurance would have covered a portion of it

I have one for both knees (ACL repairs). I feel comfortable and confident with every move when I am active on the basketball court or working out.

As a physical therapist, I know what to look for in a knee brace. I have a small frame but going by the measuring guidelines I originally ordered a medium which was incredibly tight. I then ordered a large that was too big. The seam on the back of the knee was intensely scratchy and there would be no way I would wear that on bare skin as I ran. I was so hopeful because as far as patellar stabilizing braces go, the price was very reasonable but if it is uncomfortable and doesn't fit right then it has relatively little value.

I have a diagnosed tear in the cartilage on the back of my kneecap. This has in turn made running extremely painful. I have tried a myriad of other things to help alleviate the pain such as gel injections, knee braces, PT, etc. None of these came close to working. The DonJoy brace is amazingly successful. I have zero pain while I run, which is exactly what I need. My only complaint is the stitching. The stitching rubs badly on the back of my legs while I am walking/running.
