Hayward HPX2169 Temperature Sensor Replacement for Hayward Heatpro Heat Pump

I used this for the pool water temp sensor are the wire was much shorter than the existing one. Too short to reach the location that seemed close and I have to splice in some of the old wire. Luckily it was just long enough to reach the box, so my connections were in the enclosure. I didn't knock off a star as different part numbers had the longer wire for this application.

Had heat pro heat pump heater which had a similar sensor already installed. I had the temperature sensor fault on the pool heater when it turned on. the old sensor was damaged by freezing water. this is easy to replace or install for the first time after disconnecting the old sensor from the circuit board and popping this one on and then clamping the sensor onto the water inlet pipe. Heater works like a charm now!

Had to drill a hole into the factory pipe inside of my unit for this to work. A bit concerning, but does seem to work fine and not leak.
