This box was quite abused and some of the items were opened. I wouldn't really care except it was advertised as new and cost as much. The game itself is quite fun and we kept it since it was the only one.

Still a great game!
Love this game! Some of the questions and maps are outdated, but it is still a great game to play. One of my 20 something kids even said, "Where was this game when I was in school? I would know about a lot more about the world now!" For a used game, it was in great shape and the only real wear was on the box itself.

What a game
We bought this game to replace one we had years ago but which was accidentally destroyed by water. Great product but the seller listed it as "complete" when in fact two of the most important pieces were missing. So we had to improvise. Sad that the seller did not represent the product as it in fact was, incomplete.

When I received the game it was in shambles. I have no way of knowing whether all the pieces and cards are present without doing further research and counting everything. What a mess! The only redeeming factor is everything that I can see seems to be in good condition, I just have to sort it all out.

Educational and fun!
I originally purchased this game from National Geographic in 1988 for my 4 children and it quickly became a family favorite! Using 4 sets of world map cards and 5 decks of trivia questions, you construct a complete world map. Each map tile has a corresponding trivia category to use, where you earn points for correct map tile placement and trivia answers. The 4 sets of map cards are printed differently- political map, physical globe, routes of famous explorers and natural resources/commodities, which can be used separately or combined. You do need a large flat surface to play the game; a card table will not accommodate the large maps. Our original game was given to another family after my children grew up however I have 8 grandchildren now so I recently purchased another game for this generation to enjoy. National Geographic Global Pursuit Trivia Board Game . I paid $58 for the game, which was new and included shipping. It may seem expensive for a board game, but well worth the price in order to get one that is in pristine condition and has all the pieces. I highly recommend this game, whether you have kids or not!

i bought this as a teaching tool for 8th graders. They hated it.....the trivia questions were fun but the game is ridiculously complicated.

Should have been the greatest trivia game ever made
Super fun geography based trivia game. Unfortunately two years after this game came out the Soviet Union collapsed rendering the majority of the questions obsolete. A lot of fun if you know you Soviet era geography

I received a really worn out box with game. It has literally sat in a warehouse since the cold war.
