XuanLei 2.4G 6 Axis Gyro RC 4-Axis aircraft Quad copter with LED light

This is an excellent beginner quadcopter. I've tried another brand of the x5c style and this one is very similar to that, but it's actually much more agile than the other one that I tried.The overall construction of the frame and other parts seems decent. It's made of a soft plastic that seems like a very good middle ground between soft enough to take impact and rigid enough to be sturdy and stable. The propellers are all somewhat flexible. This is cool because you don't have to worry so much whenever you inevitably crash it. It can take quite a beating before the propellers will actually break. Especially if you're using the guards. One thing about the guards that come with this quadcopter is that by default they are bent inwards towards the propellers, so you have to send them out quite a bit to avoid your propellers from smashing into them and potentially burning up your Motors. I ended up putting a different brand of compatible guards on mine that were more rigid and stayed a little more out of the way and that seems to work really well. Although, this quadcopter slides really well without landing gear for propeller guards and if you take all these off you can get another minute or two of flight time out of it. I wouldn't suggest it until you get really good with it, but it is fun to fly without all that stuff on it weighing it down.Speaking of weight, this entire quadcopter assembly weighed less than half of the 250 gram weight limit that the FAA requires for registration. This is really cool because I don't care to register with them just so they can leave all my information out there for everyone to see.As far as weight goes, this thing is super agile. There are three different speeds that basically translates to how far it will tilt in the direction you're trying to get it to go. When it's in Speed 3, it will still nearly sideways, so you have to have it up fairly high off of the ground when going fully in One Direction. Is incredibly fun to slide it in this mode though. It will get going super fast if you have a large enough area to fly it in. I haven't gotten it to top speed yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if this thing could go 30 miles an hour.The remote is a little weird. It's got a bunch of buttons at the bottom that aren't really buttons. Not only do they not do anything, but you can't even press them. I'm not really sure why they're there. Also, it doesn't have one of those LCD displays and that most of these remotes have that will tell you how high your throttle is and what not. I do like that the throttle is a little more skin than the other remote that I have experienced. It makes it a little less touchy and easier to hover in place.This is an excellent beginner quadcopter and if you're just getting into flying things this is a great way to go. It's relatively easy to fly and it's extremely stable, even in moderate wind.I received this quadcopter at a discount in exchange for this honest and unbiased review.
