Q: Is this for both tires?

These are on my car now, working well. No complaints. It's a set of shoes for both rear wheels. I bought the inexpensive hardware set also, the springs and stuff. Glad I did, cuz everything was rusty and not good.

Thank you for the question. Verify the shoe adjusting hardware is installed correctly and adjusted down. Shoes should be riding on the backing plate guides and able to shift easily on the guides. Remove any rust and debris from the brake drum surface that may be preventing it from sliding over the shoes. Thank you
