99-06 Chevy Silverado GMC Sierra Extended Cab Lower Slip On Metal Rocker Panels

Description is misleading. To clear up some confusion, they are marked “slip on” out of the box. Perfect. Did a fraction of an inch of trimming I realized I probably didn’t need to. Tab on the front of the panel fits under the panel behind the tire. After that my old ones were so rusted out I riveted across the top ( hidden when the doors close) and secured in the back with pipe hanger tape. Was quick and easy with simple tools. A second hand to hold it in place while drilling would have helped but still no trouble. Thick enough to tack weld but I didn’t have one available. Cab corners are next. Wish i would have gotten them all in the set.

Installed on 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 extended cab 4x4. Was maybe a couple millimeters too long, but better to be a little too long than too short. I lap-welded these over what existing metal was left (maybe 1 inch extending from cab) using 0.030" flux-core wire. With the welder turned all the way down in power and the line feed turned about halfway up, it welded perfectly.

These slipped right onto my 2001 Chevy Silverado 1500. I riveted them in on top where the sill was in good shape and underneath where the metal of the truck was still good. Bolts and nuts in places where the body was real good. In some places I just zip-tied them in along the bottom and into the frame above. I'll let you know if/when they fall off. Now, will it pass inspection?????? We'll see in the spring.

Works and looks good and as listed. Some trimming is required, I used glue and sheet metal screws to install and then sprayed bed liner over the rocker panels. They look great. I removed rust and treated it before installation. The easiest way to repair rusted rocker panels and does a great job.

40 years experience in body work. These went on 03 Chevy 1500 base regular cab after cutting and feel nice and thick. Kept original lines on truck. Highly recommended!

While the cut and bends were not exactly matching from side to side after little manipulation they fit great. Welded up after putting POR on the back side and inside the tunnels. Solid part and my truck looks like a truck again.

A friend help me put this on. clean up and weld them on. The price is great they work great and made my truck look new.
