SYGA Pocket Thermometer, Waterproof, 5" Stem, 1" Dial, -10/110 Celsius

When I started looking for kitchen thermometers, there were too many and the price ranged from 200 to over 1000. It took a lot of time filtering them by reviews because many of them turned out to be the same product packaged with a different name and price. Finally selected one with a price around 1600 and put it in cart. Then looked at its negative reviews again and had a doubt. Seeing that all of them had reviews where it didn't work got me alarmed. Decided to look for low price ones to take a risk. Found this one based on its reviews, and I'm glad I selected it. It worked out of the box and I could make a perfect chicken roast in the convection oven. The only downside to it is that it doesn't really click in its cover to fix but remains loose so there is a chance of it falling out from the cover. Other than that, works well. I don't care if it has any accuracy problems as long as the cooked items turn out better than before. All my previous attempts to roast chicken drum sticks overcooked them, making them rubbery. Not any more.

Useful product. Good for cooking and candy making. Sometimes the dial fogs up on the outside but you can just wipe it off and it’s good.No other complaints, does just as it says. It is in Celsius so you will have to convert it to Fahrenheit if your recipe calls for it.

Good quality, I haven’t noticed any downsides yet, it’s small and there’s no support if you use it to froth milk. But, in general, it’s great and inexpensive!

Not accurate as mercury thermometers ,u can just keep it as a fancy item in home

The reading is off by 5° and no replacement or money back offered. That is just infuriating.

Wanted a thermometer for steaming milk, all coffee brands are selling these thermometers at maybe 4 times the cost of this one.Having read the other reviews, I first checked it with some known temprature. Boiling water shows 97-98 degrees, ice box showed 1-2 degrees. Fair enough, so I tested with lukewarm water and a digital thermometer and the accuracy was off by maybe 2-3 degrees.Obviously not a scientific tool, good bang for the buck. Dial is easily visible, readings are quick and mostly accurate in its range. Happy with the purchase, especially since it was under 300 INR

At this price it is good. There is an error of5-6 degrees. It reads below the actual temp. But the good part is the error is consistent so you can take that into consideration while noting the temp. The other thing is in indian cooking or other things you really don't need such fancyful gadgets so my take is 90% of the peoply who buy this is are for hobbies and for that purpose a gadget at this price range is good enough. And third thing if you are noot cooking for fancy restaurants error of 2-3 can easily be managed. Enojy the hooby bros.

Five stars except that the dial is too small. You need to squint hard to see the reading. But otherwise, the accuracy is perfect (EXACTLY on zero for ice!)—and you can easily tell whether your AC, freezer, fridge, etc are working properly. Response time is very good, too: It takes less than 10 seconds to attain final reading.
