Seems accurate, great value
Seems very accurate. I had a cheap Costco laser measure and it was always off by a couple of mm. I compared the Lomvum with several tape measures and it was spot on for distances inside a room. Measurements are also consistent and repeated measurements from the same spot are the same. The 1mm accuracy seems true at least for short distances. I haven't checked it for longer distances but I'm happy with the tool for my needs. Lots of useful features to calculate area, volume, and angles. I like that an angle meter is built into the laser meter instead of a bubble level. Another awesome feature is that it holds 20 measurements and it remembers you last setting when you power it on. Very good value for the level of accuracy, range, and features.

Very useful and seems to be quite accurate
I am very impressed by this unit. It seems to be very accurate. I really like the Auto Level and Auto Height measurements. They are surprisingly accurate. These features use triangulation to determine the height, elevation difference, and horizontal distance from your location. These are great for doing site plans or landscape plans. It is hard to see the laser dot at distance during the day. It did come with a small reflector that helps somewhat. However, it's still difficult to aim the laser at the small reflector. There's also a feature that will give the maximum and minimum distance if you move the laser dot over an area. This is helpful for getting corners and such. Unfortunately, the Min/Max doesn't work in conjunction with Auto Level and Auto Height. That would cool if it did. Lomvum people, make it happen!

I received an used unit at full price!
It seems like I’m not the only one with this issueBought it as “new” here, but received a re-packed unit. First, the unit wasn’t in the protective case when I got it, and the packaging bag was underneath. Second, there were fingerprints already on the screen and labeled with the name of probably the previous user. Third, there were measuring records already on the screen. I have nothing to say, but all these issues make me feel that I just bought an used unit. The unit’s functionality is good, easy to use, but just not acceptable with paying a “new” price for an “used” unit. I will return!

Seems accurate and simple to use.
I had my first opportunity to use this in a paper mill in Arkansas on a job walk. There were detailed survey drawings that we didn't have access to yet, so we had to rely on field measurements. There was also no straight line of sight shot that we could take. We ended up with a series of 7 measurements taken from various vantage points that I ended up putting together in AutoCAD to get the geometry right and measure from there. When the survey drawings were released, our field measurements were only off by 6 inches over several hundred feet, and I wrote that off as human error. If you're in construction this is definitely a handy device to have around!
