CoastalBergan 88341 NCLCAT Turbo Cat Grass

Updated to include the new pics of item in use and after.So bit a longer review. I thought it was supposed to come with a refill. I returned the first one and got another. Exactly the same as the first. Neither came with a refill. 4 stars because it's awesome. Minus one star for lack of refill. But here's all you need to do, buy some wheat grass seed (cheaper in bulk) and some shaved pine bunny stuff. When you grow the seeds, the "soil" or "base" material gets moldy and must be tossed. Shaved pine is cheap and non-toxic.I don't know why they show the refill next to the item. I'm a little irritated, but whatever, I just wanted to use it because it took about a month to get the first one. So let your seeds soak for a bit. I left mine on the counter over night and they were starting to sprout when I put them into the unit. Two days to green grass shoots.The top of the unit twists a tad bit to create a locking feature which keeps the cats from pulling out the soil/base material through the holes when they go to ripping the grass out. (I had previously attempted to use a sprout strainer to accomplish this in a DIY fashion.)Aside from the confusion relating to the refill, I'm very happy with this unit.

I followed the directions on this to the letter. Only about a third of the grass grew, and my cats didn't even like it. I am fairly good at getting things to grow and thrive, but not this stuff.

Grass grew amazingly quickly! It looks a bit anemic probably because it's time to put it in the sunlight. Maybe should have done this a day early! The container fits the 'play disc' very well and should NOT spill the contents of the grass holder (which is why we bought it in the first place). Now it remains to be seen how well the cats like their new 'toy'. I like the design of the grass holder and the tightness with which it fits.

Product is good - grass grows quickly and our cat loves it! The product picture under the "Cat grass" option depicts the starter -and- a refill, leading me to think that this option came with both. Be warned, it just comes with the starter, no refill.Five stars for the product itself, two deducted for misleading advertisement. Starter alone can be purchased locally cheaper in my area

Easy to get growing! My cat ... likes it well enough. Enough to considered a success! hahaAfter daily care, the grass seems to have started dying in some places.
